Handiwork is important in Palworld as Pals with this work suitability can help you build structures and craft resources at your base – but some are better suited to it than others.

Alongside collecting Pals to use as Mounts or help you battle bosses, you can also put them to work with duties like Handiwork, Mining, Planting, or Kindling – with the former being particularly useful as it can also get you more items.

While plenty of creatures can do Handiwork in the game, some really excel at the task, so here are the Pals we’d recommend for the job.

Palworld Handiwork tier list

10 best Pals for Handiwork

Below, you’ll find a breakdown of the top-ranked Pals in the S and A-tiers from the tier list above, including details on their full work suitabilities, elements, and Partner Skills.

10. Incineram

  • Element: Fire / Dark
  • Partner Skill: Flameclaw Hunter
  • Work Suitabilities: Handiwork Level 2 / Kindling Level 1 / Mining Level 1 / Transporting Level 2

Thanks to its Fire element, Incineram is proficient at Kindling, as well as Handiwork, Mining, and Transporting. This is a Pal who can gather, build, and transport resources. It shines more in Handiwork over Kindling and Mining, however, so we’d recommend having that be its focus most of the time.

You can find Incineram along the western half of Mount Obsidian. We’d advise bringing some Water / Dragon-type Pals with you such as Jormuntide, or Relaxaurus to make the battle easier.

9. Mossanda

  • Element: Grass
  • Partner Skill: Grenadier Panda
  • Work Suitabilities: Handiwork Level 2 / Plating Level 2 / Lumbering Level 2 / Transporting Level 2

Mossanda’s mixture of work suitabilities makes them a fantastic Pal to have around if you need to gather new items, and if you want to store what you’ve got. With its Level 2 Lumbering and Handiwork skills, coupled with Level 2 Transporting, Mossanda can keep itself busy acquiring wood and other resources, and then safely placing them in storage units for easy access later on.

You can find Mossanda’s all over Mossanda Forest in Palworld. Having a Fire-type Pal on hand for the fight such as Foxparks, Rooby, or Bushi would be ideal.

8. Penking

  • Element: Water / Ice
  • Partner Skill: Brave Sailor
  • Work Suitabilities: Handiwork Level 2 / Mining Level 2 / Cooling Level 2 / Watering Level 2 / Transporting Level 2

Penking is great at Handiwork but also proficient at several other jobs. It’s great to have at least one Penking working at your base at any given time due to how much they can do! Whether you want them focused on Handiwork to get additional resources, or would rather have them switching between roles is up to you.

You can find Penking at the Southern Wildlife Sanctuary but entering the area is considered criminal activity in Palworld so you’ll have to be extra careful. The best counters to Penking in a fight are either Fire or Electric Pals so make sure you’ve got at least one of each with you.

7. Loupmoon

  • Element: Dark
  • Partner Skill: Claws Glistening in the Dark
  • Work Suitability: Handiwork Lv2

Loupmoon is great in the Handiwork category because it won’t be distracted by any other tasks. Unlike other Pals on this list. It can solely focus on Handiwork for you once you put it to work at your base.

Loupmoon only spawns at night in two specific locations: throughout the Bamboo Grove, west of the Ravine Entrance waypoint, and east of the Ascetic Falls waypoint.

6. Verdash

Verdash, a grass type Pal from Palworld with blured promo art in background.
  • Element: Grass
  • Partner Skill: Grassland Speedster
  • Work Suitability: Planting Level 2 / Handiwork Level 3 / Lumbering Level 2 / Transporting Level 2 / Gathering Level 3

In addition to Handiwork, Verdash is a jack-of-all-trades with Planting, Lumbering, Transporting, and Gathering Work Suitabilities.

Verdash is another example of a rare spawn in Palworld that can only be found in the No.2 Wildlife Sanctuary or as an Alpha Pal between Verdant Brook and the Frostbound Mountains. Be sure to bring some Fire-type Pals when going to catch Verdash.

5. Lyleen

  • Element: Grass
  • Partner Skill: Harvest Goddess
  • Work Suitability: Planting Lv4, Handiwork Lv3, Medicine Lv3, Gathering Lv2

Lyleen not only boasts a level four Planting Work Suitability but also excels in the Handiwork and Medicine categories. This combination makes her a well-rounded Pal in several areas that are well worth having at your base.

You can find Lyleen at Wildlife Sanctuary No. 3, far on the northeast side of the map. Bringing some Fire Pals with you should give you a good advantage against Lyleen.

4. Lunaris

Lunaris in Palworld
  • Element: Neutral
  • Partner Skill: Antigravity
  • Work Suitability: Handiwork Lv3, Transporting Lv1, Gathering Lv1

Lunaris has three Work Suitabilities: Handiwork, Transporting, and Gathering. Additionally, the Pal can manipulate gravity to increase your carrying capacity through its Antigravity Partner Skill.

You can encounter Lunaris after heading to the Sea Breeze Archipelago, an island southwest of the Windswept Islands. We’d advise having some Dark-type Pals like Hoocrates, Depresso, and Killamari before you attempt to fight and catch Lunaris.

3. Wixen

A custom image of Wixen from Palworld.
  • Element: Fire
  • Partner Skill: Lord Fox
  • Work Suitability: Kindling Lv2, Handiwork Lv3, Transporting Lv2

Wixen has a very proficient Level 3 skill in Handiwork in addition to Kindling and Transporting Work Suitabilities.

Luckily, Wixen can spawn during the daytime and nighttime, making it more convenient for players to find. You can encounter Wixen on the northeastern side of Mount Obsidian and east of the Frostbound Mountains on the Blasted Strip. Water-type Pals are your best bet when it comes to weakening this Pal.

2. Lyleen Noct

Lyleen Noct in Palworld
  • Element: Dark
  • Partner Skill: Goddess of the Tranquil Light
  • Work Suitability: Handiwork Lv3, Medicine Lv3, Gathering Lv2

Lyleen Noct is the Dark counterpart of the Grass-type Lyleen. Its Partner Skill, Goddess of the Tranquil Light, can restore a player’s HP, making it an asset in anyone’s collection. It’s got a Level 3 Handiwork suitability so if you’re not using it in battle it’s a brilliant option to put to work at your base.

This Pal can be found inside the Iceberg Mineshaft in the snowy northwestern region of the map. In order to lower its health and capture Lyleen Noct, we recommend using Dragon Pals for easier battles.

1. Anubis

A custom image of Anubis in Palworld.
  • Element: Ground
  • Partner Skill: Guardian of the Desert
  • Work Suitability: Handiwork Lv4, Transporting Lv2, Mining Lv3

Anubis is by far the best choice for Handiwork due to its Level 4 skill in that category. However, it’s not easily encountered, as there is only one in the entire game who spawns in the middle of the Twilight Dunes.

We recommend using Grass-type attacks against Anubis and throwing Legendary Spheres at it if you have any.
