With 15 Agents to choose from in Valorant, it can be tough to choose which one to main as you try to climb the ranked ladder. We’ve taken a look at the pick rate and win rate of each agent in the top tiers of Valorant to determine the most popular.

Act 3 was the first new Valorant act not to introduce a new Agent to the roster; all players would get is the brand-new map Breeze, which has opened up new and exciting strategies for players to experiment with.

Balancing changes over Act 2 has caused previously out-of-favour picks to leap into the meta. Viper and Astra have become must-picks in certain situations, as shown by their increase in popularity.

Via data collected by, we’ve ordered each Agent in Valorant by pick rate to determine who is the most popular character in the game. We’ve compared every agent’s pick rate to their win rate, which has revealed some interesting information about the state of the game.

We’ve taken data from players ranked in Immortal, because it provides the largest data set and represents a large portion of the top players in Valorant.

15. Yoru

  • Pick rate: 0.7%
  • Win rate: 49%

At the beginning of Act 2, Yoru had both the lowest win rate and the lowest pick rate, making him by far the worst Valorant agent.

However, changes to his ult and teleport have made him a much more viable option, with players beginning to adapt to his unique style of play. Yoru’s kit suits larger maps, too, which means Breeze could be the long-term remedy to his suffering popularity.

14. Breach

  • Pick rate: 1.2%
  • Win rate: 45.3%

The bionic Swede is struggling to adapt in the Controller meta right now, as he’s at his best when charging onto sits at high speed. He might be one of the biggest beneficiaries of future Viper nerfs.

13. Astra

  • Pick rate: 1.8%
  • Win rate: 50.5%

Astra has become one of the biggest contributors to the current controller method. Her ability to use indestructible utility from anywhere on the map has made her hugely oppressive, particularly at the top level.

With pro players labeling her “bad for the game,” future nerfs can be expected.

12. Skye

  • Pick rate: 2.5%
  • Win rate: 41.7%

The eco-warrior Sentinel isn’t the most popular Agent in Valorant, but she can be very strong. Her ability to sniff out locations of enemies is only really matched by Sova, and she provides a decent alternative healing option to Sage.

While her win rate has taken a massive hit of late, she’s already being touted as a potential key Agent for Breeze, when it hits ranked queues.

11. Brimstone

  • Pick rate: 2.8%
  • Win rate: 43.8%

Valorant’s American Controller has suffered at the hands of other Controllers, especially Viper and Astra, just being that little bit stronger than him. Brim is also not particularly well-suited to Breeze, with his smokes being slightly too narrow to provide adequate coverage.

He might be in need of another buff in coming patches.

10. Viper

  • Pick rate: 3.5%
  • Win rate: 53.4%

After a plethora of buffs to her entire kit, Viper is statistically Valorant’s most powerful agent. The instant decay opponents suffer when entering her smokes and wall make locking down a site as Viper significantly easier than it used to be.

She’s become massively overturned due to these changes, and Riot are already planning to nerf her in future patches and cut down her power.

9. Phoenix

  • Pick rate: 3.7%
  • Win rate: 45.9%

The English Duelist provides a perfect combination of dueling power and utility, optimal for leading your team onto sites. His flashes take a lot of practice to master, but the potential payoff is huge.

However, other Duelists like Jett and Reyna are much stronger right now.

8. Cypher

  • Pick rate: 5.1%
  • Win rate: 48.3%

Despite no longer being able to impact games from the dead, Cypher remains a relatively popular pick. However, with a slightly below-par win rate, the Moroccan spy might need a bit of TLC in future patches if that is to remain the case.

7. Killjoy

  • Pick rate: 6.3%
  • Win rate: 50.5%

Killjoy possesses an almost unrivaled ability to lock down sites, and her win and pick rates are neither too high nor too low, too: the German Sentinel really has hit the sweet spot in the Valorant meta.

6. Sova

  • Pick rate: 8.4%
  • Win rate: 50.5%

In the right hands, Sova can be lethal. Mastering his lineups is the key difference between a good Sova and a great one, with his unparalleled utility making him one of Valorant’s highest-performing Agents.

If you’re looking for an agent to main, you could do much worse than the Russian.

5. Raze

  • Pick rate: 8.7%
  • Win rate: 50.6%

Raze is probably the most irritating Agent to play against. Every single one of her abilities can slaughter an opponent, with her satchels opening up innovative ways of getting into opponents’ faces.

Statistically speaking, however, she’s in a pretty healthy spot.

4. Omen

  • Pick rate: 12.1%
  • Win rate: 51.1%

Omen is the perfect agent for anyone looking to create pure chaos on the map. While his win rate is worst on Icebox, it remains largely the same across the other maps, making him a consistent option if you’re looking for someone to master.

3. Reyna

  • Pick rate: 12.9%
  • Win rate: 49.7%

Reyna is a pure Duelist. Her ability to overheal makes her extremely powerful in early rounds of the match, and she is widely regarded as the perfect carry Agent at lower levels.

She’s becoming reliable in high elo now too, and packs the second-highest win rate on Breeze across all levels. She’s definitely one to keep an eye on when the new map hits ranked queues.

2. Sage

  • Pick rate: 13.8%
  • Win rate: 52.8%

Despite receiving nerf after nerf, Sage remains strong as ever. Anyone with a more supportive streak should definitely look at using the Chinese Sentinel to climb the ladder to the very top.

Her win rate has increased since the start of Act 3, but she doesn’t feel particularly oppressive to play against at this time.

1. Jett

  • Pick rate: 16.6%
  • Win rate: 49.9%

Probably the flashiest Agent in Valorant, Jett is also by far the most popular. If you’re an aggressive player looking to singlehandedly carry your team to victory, Jett could be the Duelist you need to play to climb to the top.

These stats are really important to Riot when it comes to balancing agents, as they give a good indication of the game’s health. How they will change the game in coming patches remains to be seen, but you can bet your house on Viper getting a nerf or two.
