The Mythical Fighting/Ghost Marshadow finally debuted in Pokemon Go during the Go Fest 2024. This Fighting/Ghost-type packs a punch, so let’s go over how to catch it and if it can be Shiny.

Marshadow was first introduced to the Pokemon universe in Generation 7 and is the very last Pokemon in the Alolan Pokedex.

Niantic’s mobile game has introduced plenty of Mythical monsters over the years, like Celebi, Shaymin, Darkrai, and many more. Now, Marshadow is finally on the list thanks to the Go Fest 2024 event.

Players wondering how they can obtain this Fighting/Ghost-type Pokemon from the Alola region and whether it can be Shiny or not can check the details below.

How to get Marshadow in Pokemon Go

As a special Mythical Pokemon, Marshadow is only available through certain events.

In this case, players with a ticket for the Pokemon Go Fest 2024 Global event, will receive access to a Special Research Task that will reward them with a Marshadow encounter. Thankfully, it’s not limited to the in-person events.

The event will run from July 13, 2024, until July 14, 2024, so those looking to add this special creature to their Pokedex must be quick to grab a ticket and get on with their tasks.

Can Marshadow be Shiny in Pokemon Go?

Currently, players cannot encounter Shiny Marshadow in Pokemon Go or during its debut in the Pokemon Go Fest 2024 event.

In the past, major events like these have offered trainers the chance to purchase Masterwork Research tickets, which have led to Shiny Pokemon encounters, but this is not the case.

We will update this guide if this eventually happens for Marshadow.
