Valorant Episode 8 Act 2 is fast approaching and here’s everything you need to know about the new Act’s release date, time, and what to expect from it.

Riot Games’ competitive free-to-play shooter is steadily marching towards the second phase of Episode 8 and players are interested to know when is the new Season going to be released and what new content they might get to play.

The Valorant meta changes with the release of every new Act, and it will be no different for Episode 8 Act 2. Get ready to have a fiery start to E8A2 with a brand-new lava-themed premium skinline in the form of the Primordium Bundle along with a fresh Battle Pass.

So, with that said, here’s when the second Act of Episode 8 is getting released and what you can expect from it.

Valorant Episode 8 Act 2 will release on March 5, 2024. Like previous Acts, E8A2 is expected to launch at around 2 pm PT / 5 pm ET / 10 pm BST.

However, there’s always a chance of the actual release time getting delayed. In case that happens, we’ll update this section right here so be sure to check back regularly.

It’s been almost two months since Act 1 was released and it ends on the same day with E8A2 to take over shortly. As usual, the Ranked queue will end earlier so the servers can go under maintenance for the new update.

What’s expected in Valorant Episode 8 Act 2?

With Valorant Episode 8 Act 2, Riot will add a new Agent to the roster as we didn’t get to see any new characters introduced with Act 1. After a player card leak last year, it’s now confirmed that Agent 25 will be a Controller.

However, unlike previous seasons, we won’t get to see the new Agent as soon as Episode 8 Act 2 drops. Riot has announced that they will reveal the new Controller when the final match of VCT Masters Madrid gets aired on March 24.

The Competitive map pool might be revamped again, with a couple of the existing maps getting replaced by others that have been taken down like Fracture or Pearl. It’s highly unlikely we’d be able to play Haven so soon as it was removed from the map pool in Act 1 itself.
