Is Gallagher worth pulling in Honkai Star Rail?

Gallagher is a 4-star Fire Abundance character in Honkai Star Rail set for release in version 2.1. Here are our thoughts on whether you should focus on getting him or not.

Honkai Star Rail version 2.1 is set to introduce multiple characters to the game. The biggest among them is the 5-star Nihility unit Acheron, and she is followed by the 5-star Preservation unit Aventurine. However, alongside those, a new 4-star healer is also getting introduced to the game called Gallagher.

The healer position in Honkai Star Rail is quite stacked since Luocha, Huohuo, and Lynx are all very good units. While Luocha and Huohuo are 5-star units, Lynx is a 4-star unit and she is considered as one of the best in the game.

Therefore, the competition for Gallagher is pretty steep which will leave some players uncertain if he’s worth getting. Here is whether Gallagher is worth targeting in Honkai Star Rail.

Should you target Gallagher in Honkai Star Rail?

No, Gallagher is not worth pulling since he does not provide enough value. Honkai Star Rail is a turn-based game, which means if you are targeted by a debuff from the enemy, you are in deep trouble. In this game, if your character misses even one turn on account of getting frozen, your entire run may fail.

Therefore, characters who can cleanse debuffs such as Luocha, and Huohuo are exceptionally valuable. Lynx is quite good as well on account of her teamwide cleanse through her Ultimate ability. Gallagher does not have such a cleanse unless you unlock his Eidolon 2.

Additionally, he can remove only one cleanse similar to Natasha. Therefore, he is not as useful when compared to other Abundance users. However, if you lack a healer and looking for someone to help you sustain in difficult fights, Gallagher will be worth it for you until you get access to a powerful Abundance user.
