Fortnite likes to make a big deal of their new seasons when they launch, and the upcoming Chapter 5 Season 2 is no different.
The hand has been officially unleashed thanks to a new live event that sees the community shooting a Titan’s hand to open Pandora’s Box, bringing Greek mythology into the game. Now that the hand has surfaced, it’s going to take a lot of teamwork for players to complete the event.
The chains holding the Pandora’s Box have an unknown amount of health, however, upon shooting it players will see that their bullets aren’t enough to begin breaking it. Some players have even speculated that the chains have upwards of 50 million health.
How to break the Titan Hand chest chains in Fortnite Chapter 5
Recently, earthquakes have begun occurring in the game, slowly gaining in power as cracks have begun to form on the map near Ruined Reels. The event will see the Titan’s Hand emerge from these cracks, starting the event.
The goal of the event in is to shoot the chains off of the giant Titan hand. These chains are what’s holding up Pandora’s Box in the giant hand’s grip.
Now, the process of breaking these chains is rather simple: you, and all other players in the lobby, just need to shoot at the chains until they break. Since they are higher up on the hand, you will need to use a gun rather than a melee weapon in order to damage them.
Once you begin shooting at the chains, a health bar will appear and everyone will need to whittle this down. As of now, the hand won’t fight back, so players won’t need to worry about protecting themselves during the process. As long as other players aren’t gunning for them.
It appears that each chain will have its own health bar, as well, so once each health bar has been depleted, then the chain will break. Simply do this for all of them, and the box will fall.
That said, the final chain is rumored to have upward of 50 billion health. The final value is unconfirmed, but this chain will take a lot more effort than the previous ones to break.
