The XRK Stalker is the best sniper in Modern Warfare 3 so it’s only natural players want to use it. Here is the best XRK Stalker loadout for MW3 to get the most out of the meta sniper rifle.

When it was introduced in Season 1, the XRK Stalker quickly became the community’s favorite sniper. It wasn’t quite as well received in Warzone due to its previous inability to one shot down, but it has always been a great choice in multiplayer.

Based on the real-world CDX-50 Tremor, the XRK Stalker is a powerful sniper rifle that offers both fantastic handling and a reliable one-shot kill. It is the most well-rounded sniper in MW3 and outclasses the other options which is saying a lot given how powerful sniping is in this year’s game.

The XRK Stalker is strong in MW3 regardless of how you build it, but an optimized loadout makes it even better. With that said, here’s the best XRK Stalker build to use in Modern Warfare 3.

Best XRK Stalker MW3 loadout

  • Barrel: Handler LKP Short Barrel
  • Laser: FSS OLE-V Laser
  • Stock: Helix LV Light Stock
  • Bolt: XRK Stalker Light Bolt
  • Rear Grip: XRK Stalker Factory Grip

As with any sniper rifle in multiplayer, the number one priority is to make the XRK Stalker handle as fast as possible. To do this the Handler LKP Short Barrel is practically mandatory with it providing incredible boosts to handling and mobility.

Continuing the theme of improving handling, the FSS OLE-V Laser and Helix LV Light Stock contribute significantly. Those wanting an even more aggressive setup should consider using the SL Razorhawk Laser Light and No Stock, though these both have noticeable downsides that can be tricky to get used to.

The XRK Stalker Factory Grip rear grip provides a free boost to handling as it only negatively affects recoil, a negligible stat for a bolt action sniper. Finally, the XRK Stalker Light Bolt improves the sniper’s fire rate by 50%, making it much more forgiving when you miss shots.

XRK Stalker MW3 Loadout: Perks and Equipment

  • Vest: Overkill Vest
  • Lethal: Throwing Knife
  • Tactical: Scatter Mine
  • Gloves: Marksman Gloves
  • Boots: Climbing Boots
  • Gear: Threat Identification System

The Overkill Vest makes a lot of sense with any sniper rifle in MW3 as it lets you take a second primary weapon to cover the XRK Stalker’s obvious weaknesses. We recommend either an SMG or mobile assault rifle, though a shotgun can work too on certain maps.

Another perk that lends itself well to sniping is the Marksman Gloves. These gloves reduce sway and flinch during ADS making it much easier to land shots under pressure. Speaking of ADS, the Threat Identification System pings enemies when aiming at them which is great for providing your teammates with intel, especially on Search & Destroy where snipers are often used.

A less obvious choice would be the Climbing Boots which although situational can be useful for taking high ground quickly. Taking power positions on high ground is crucial for sniping as it’s these spots that often have the best sightlines on each map.

For equipment, a Throwing Knife is a strong option in the lethal slot as it provides a close-range one-shot weapon for when enemies catch you off guard. Finally, a Scatter Mine can be used to scout and prevent flankers from getting behind you as easily.

Best alternative to XRK Stalker in MW3

The closest competitor to the XRK Stalker is the Longbow, another fast-handling sniper rifle best suited to aggressive playstyles. While the Longbow has better handling it does require more precision and is generally more difficult to use as a result.
