How to get Shuckle in Pokemon Go
Even though it was recently featured during the Bug Out 2024 event, many players are still searching for a Shuckle in Pokemon Go, so here are all the current ways you can find this Pokemon in the game:
- As a wild encounter.
- As a Shadow Pokemon from Team GO Rocket Grunt encounters (“Go, my super bug Pokemon!”).
During the upcoming Spelunker’s Cove event, players will have the chance to catch Shuckle in the wild, as its spawn rate will be increased from June 15, 2024, until June 18, 2024.
Previously, Shuckle used to hatch from 2 km, 5 km, and 7 km Eggs, and appear as Tier 1 Raid Boss. It was also rewarded for completing Field Research Tasks such as “Trade a Pokemon with a friend: A Colossal Discovery” or Special/Timed Research Tasks like “Throwback Challenge 2020: Johto – 5th part”.
Can Shuckle be Shiny in Pokemon Go?
Yes, Shuckle can be Shiny in Pokemon Go, as this variation was added to the game at the start of the Safari Zone in Sentosa event back in 2019.
Even though it has a standard Shiny encounter rate, players will have more chances of encountering a Shiny Shuckle during the Spelunker’s Cove event.
Shiny Shuckle has a bright blue shell, making it visually distinct from its standard red form, so you shouldn’t have any trouble telling the difference between the two.
Does Shuckle have an evolution in Pokemon Go?
Shuckle is the only member of its Pokemon family, which means it does not have an evolution in Pokemon Go or any other game from the franchise.
While this does take away some of the excitement of hunting Shuckle, it also means you don’t need to stock up on its Candy to trigger an evolution. So, once you’ve registered one into your Pokedex, you can move on to something else or focus on hunting its Shiny version.
