Gardevoir in Pokemon Go

Here’s a look at what the best moveset is for Gardevoir in Pokemon Go, plus whether it’s any good in the mobile game.

The third generation of Pokemon introduced franchise fans to Ralts, which could ultimately evolve into Gardevoir. Gardevoir was originally just a Psychic-type but became a Psychic/Fairy-type in the sixth generation.

Gardevoir was a very powerful Pokemon back in the days of Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire, but what about Pokemon Go?

Here’s a look at the best moveset for Gardevoir, plus whether it’s suitable for PvP play.

Gardevoir’s best moveset in Pokemon Go

The best moveset for Gardevoir is to go with Charm as a Fast Move and Triple Axel and Shadow Ball as Charged Moves.

Confusion and Charm are solid options for the Fast Move, as both get the same type of attack bonus (STAB). But with a considerably higher DPS than Confusion, Charm can work like a charm (pun intended).

The lack of an STAB bonus move might be a bit surprising. However, Psychic is not as powerful as Shadow Ball, hence why that would be the primary move here.

As for a second Charged Move, Triple Axel does offer some coverage against Dragon and Flying-types. Not to mention, it does have a low energy cost.

All moves Gardevoir can learn in Pokemon Go

Here are all the moves that Gardevoir can learn in Pokemon Go:

Fast Moves

  • Charge Beam (Electric)
  • Charm (Fairy)
  • Confusion (Psychic)
  • Magical Leaf (Grass)
  • Splash (Water)

Charged Moves

  • Psychic (Psychic)
  • Sychronoise (Psychic)
  • Triple Axel (Ice)
  • Return (Normal)
  • Dazzling Gleam (Fairy)
  • Shadow Ball (Ghost)

Is Gardevoir any good in Pokemon Go?

Gardevoir does somewhat hold up better than Ralts’ other final evolution form, Gallade, in the PvP meta of Pokemon Go.

The Shadow and regular versions of Gardevoir rank higher than Gallade in the Master League, with Shadow Gardevoir being the better option for those with it. Per PvPoke, Shadow Gardevoir ranked #90 in the Master League in January 2024.

As for the Ultra League, Gallade is a better option in that format than Gardevoir. Shadow Gardevoir ranked #264 in the Ultra League, with regular Gardevoir at #337.
