Spider-Man 2 swung onto PlayStation 5 consoles back in October 2023 and received widespread acclaim from critics and players alike. It had an impressive showing of nominations at The Game Awards 2023 but fans were shocked when the game didn’t win a single category.
Since its release, Spider-Man 2 players have been crying out for the New Game Plus mode that was surprisingly absent at launch. More recently, Insomniac have had to reprimand the more rabid fans for harassing their staff about it.
Fortunately, those people can stop hassling them because Insomniac have finally given us the information. The answer to the Nagging question: When will Spider-Man 2 get New Game Plus?

Spider-Man 2’s New Game Plus mode will be made available as part of a larger update that launches on March 7, 2024. Insomniac announced the incoming update in a tweet and it looks like Spider-Man 2 will receive more than a New Game Plus mode.
“Our next update is coming March 7,” Insomniac revealed. “Our title update for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 arrives next month and adds highly requested features like New Game Plus, new suits, and more! Watch our social media for a complete list of features closer to release.”
New additions to Spider-Man 2’s roster of over 70 suits are sure to be welcomed by fans. We’re not entirely sure what those suits will be although, Insomniac did announce some post-release suits in collaboration with a Brooklyn-based streetwear brand.
As for the other “highly requested features”, we’re even less certain. Insomniac has promised more news closer to the launch of the update and we’ll be sure to keep readers posted.
