Pokemon Go’s first Spotlight hour of the month features Pawmi, the Electric-type Pikachu lookalike introduced in the Paldea region. So, if you still haven’t had the chance to evolve it into Pawmo and Pawmot, here’s how you can take advantage of the event in order to do so.

The Paldea region from Pokemon Scarlet & Violet introduced plenty of new Pokemon to the franchise, many of which have become very loved amongst hardcore fans, such as Pawmi.

This particular rodent -which resembles the iconic Pikachu- made its way into Pokemon Go with the Ultra Unlock: Paldea event from 2023, and now will be the protagonist of the first Spotlight Hour of the month, taking place on March 5, 2024, from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM local time.

During one hour Pawmi will spawn constantly in the wild and players will be able to catch as many as they want. This is the ideal opportunity to find one with perfect IVs and gather enough Candy to take it to its final evolution quickly.

Those with a good memory will remember that Pawmi needs a special evolution method in the mainline games. So, if you’re wondering if something similar is required in Niantic’s mobile game, here’s all you need to know.

How to evolve Pawmi into Pawmo & Pawmot in Pokemon Go?

Evolving Pawmi in Pokemon Go is very straightforward. However, it does have a twist to honor Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s method, and it’s divided into three parts.

  • As with most three-stage evolutions in the game, players will require 25 Candy to evolve Pawmi into Pawmo.
  • Once they have Pawmo, they’ll have to set it as their Buddy and walk 25 km.
  • After they reach 25 km, players can use another 100 Candy to trigger its final evolution, Pawmot.

Both Pawmo and Pawmot will become dual-type rodents, as they’ll gain the Fighting type as soon as they evolve.

That’s all you need to know to evolve Pawmi in Pokemon Go. For more game content, check our list below:
