Here’s what Pokemon Go players should know about the Porygon Community Day Classic Special Research challenge.

On January 20, Niantic will hold the Pokemon Go Porygon Community Day Classic event in the mobile game, as players will have an increased chance to get Porygon and get a Porygon-Z with a special move.

Additionally, a new Special Research challenge was added for the event.

Make 5 Nice Throws – 15 Poke Balls
Catch 15 Porygon – Porygon Encounter
Power up Pokemon 10 times – 20 Porygon Candy

Rewards: 2,000 Stardust, Porygon Encounter, 1 Incense

Step 2 of 4

Transfer 10 Pokemon – 10 Pinap Berries
Catch 15 Porygon – Porygon2 Encounter
Evolve 3 Porygon – 20 Porygon Candy

Rewards: 2,000 Stardust, 1 Poffin, 1 Incense

Make 3 Great Curveball Throws – 20 Porygon Candy
Transfer 10 Pokemon – 1 Sinnoh Stone
Evolve 1 Porygon2 – 5 Golden Razz Berries

It’s important to point out that an Upgrade is needed to evolve Porygon into Porygon2, while a Sinnoh Stone is a requirement to get Porygon-Z.
