Pokemon Horizons: The Series is coming to Netflix and to celebrate it Charcadet and its evolutions Armarouge and Ceruledge are coming to Pokemon Go. In case you’re a fan of the dual Fire/Ghost-type Pokemon and are planning on getting it, here’s Ceruledge’s best moveset in the game.

The Paldea region introduced in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet added 114 Pokemon to the franchise and amongst them a Fire-type family stood out.

Charcadet, a pure Fire-type, debuted in the games with a branched evolution for each version: the Fire/Psychic Armarouge for Scarlet and Ceruledge, a Fire/Ghost Pokemon for Violet.

Now, players won’t have to choose between them as they are all coming to Pokemon Go to celebrate the Western release of the animated series Pokemon Horizons with a special event that will take place from March 5, 2024, until March 11, 2024.

During that time Charcadet will appear in 2 km, 5 km, and 10 km Eggs before settling in the latter, so it’s the ideal time to buy as many incubators as possible and hatch plenty of Eggs to gather all the Candy you can.

If you happen to be a Ceruledge fan and are planning on getting yourself one, here’s its ideal moveset in the game as well as whether or not it’s any good in combat.

Ceruledge general stats in Pokemon Go

This dual Fire/Ghost-type Pokemon has an attack-based stat spread of 239 (ATK), 189 (DEF), and 181 (STAT), and can reach a max CP value of 3172 in Pokemon Go, which can be boosted by Sunny or Fog weather.

Unlike its pure Fire-type previous stage, Ceruledge is vulnerable to Ground, Rock, Ghost, Water, and Dark-type moves. However, despite its weaknesses, it can stand strong against popular types such as Fighting, Steel, and Fairy, as well as Poison, Fire, Grass, Normal, Bug, and Ice.

Best moveset for Ceruledge

The best moveset available for Ceruledge in Pokemon Go consists of Incinerate as a Fast Move and Shadow Ball as a Charged Move, with 15.84 damage per second and 439.62 total damage output before it faints.

This Pokemon has only one Ghost-type attack, while the rest of them are all Fire. However, opposite to Armarouge, this particular move is one of the best in the game, so you might as well go for a dual typing moveset to exploit all its capabilities.

All moves Ceruledge can learn

This warrior Pokemon has two Fast Moves and four Charged Moves available in its pool, and they all focus on its typing to take advantage of STAB.

Ceruledge Fast Moves

  • Ember (Fire/STAB)
  • Incinerate (Fire/STAB)

Ceruledge Charged Moves

  • Flamethrower (Fire/STAB)
  • Heat Wave (Fire/STAB)
  • Shadow Ball (Ghost/STAB)
  • Flame Charge (Fire/STAB)

Is Ceruledge any good in Pokemon Go?

Ceruledge’s type combination makes it a very flexible Pokemon, as it can hit a wide variety of types while also being resistant to them.

Its Fast Move can deal heavy damage quickly, which pressures opponents to use their shields. Plus, the moveset in general has a good balance between the gained energy from the Fast Move that builds up the usage of Charged Moves. More so, by using a Fire-type move combined with a Ghost one, it can get more coverage.

Despite not being great in Master League, it has a pretty good performance in both Great and Ultra Leagues, standing strong against fan favorites like Skarmory, Annihilape, and Galarian Stunfisk or even Legendaries like Cresselia, Cobalion, and Virizion.
