Genshin Impact Chronicled Wish event banner explained

Genshin Impact new banner
The Chronicled Wish is the latest banner coming to Genshin Impact.

Starting in the 4.5 update, Genshin Impact will see the release of a new type of character banner – The Chronicled Wish. This event banner has similarities to the game’s Epitomized Path, which enables Travelers to chart a course toward their preferred weapon.

However, unlike the Epitomized Path mechanics which purely focus on weapons, the Chronicled Wish banner enables players to select a 5-star character or weapon that they wish to obtain

It takes a maximum of one Fate Point to guarantee your target character or weapon, and you’re also guaranteed an item that matches your target type. For example, when pulling for a specific type (character/weapon), you’ll always pull something from that category.

This makes the Chronicled Wish banner perfect for Travelers who missed out on certain characters or weapons. It’s important to note, that the new banner will only feature 5-star characters who have had at least three character event Wishes and have not appeared on any recent banners.
