Best Destiny 2 Hullabaloo god roll for PvE & PvP

The Hullabaloo heavy grenade launcher in Destiny 2.

The Hullabaloo is one of the best Heavy weapons for add clear in Destiny 2, and this is how to get the Heavy Grenade Launcher and what God Rolls you should be looking out for.

As part of the March 5 update, Destiny 2 saw the introduction of all kinds of new content including a hoverboard and a loot overhaul for the Prophecy dungeon.

The reception to this update has been overwhelmingly positive but it’s not just the playable content that has players impressed. Guardians are also keen to try out the new Heavy Grenade Launcher which looks to be a fantastic addition, especially after HGLs were given a sizable damage buff.

To help you get the most out of this new weapon we’ve put together this guide on the ideal Hullabaloo god roll roll for both PvE and PvP.

Contents:

Destiny 2 Hullabaloo PvE God Roll

  • Barrel: Quick Launch
  • Magazine: High-Velocity Rounds
  • Basic Trait 1: Envious Assassin
  • Basic Trait 2: Chain Reaction
  • Origin Trait: Classy Contender
  • Masterwork: Reload Speed

The Hullabaloo is an excellent weapon with it effectively performing like a super-powered Forbearance, a Grenade Launcher that is already one of the best in Destiny 2. Much like Forbearance, Hullabaloo gets access to the incredible roll that is Envious Assassin and Chain Reaction, letting you fire several shots without reloading and clear adds with ease.

To get the most out of Hullabaloo it is recommended to focus on perks that improve Velocity over Blast Radius. This is because Blast Radius is a largely worthless stat on Wave Frame Grenade Launchers. To maximize Velocity you’ll want to try and farm a roll with both Quick Launch and High-Velocity Rounds, but Smart Drift Control and Alloy Casing are also strong choices.

With its god roll perks, the Hullabaloo is a great HGL that offers unmatched add clear potential.

Destiny 2 Hullabaloo PvP God Roll

  • Barrel: Quick Launch
  • Magazine: High-Velocity Rounds
  • Basic Trait 1: Impulse Amplifier
  • Basic Trait 2: Chain Reaction
  • Origin Trait: Classy Contender
  • Masterwork: Handling

Even after the damage buff, Heavy Grenade Launchers are far from the best option in PvP. Even so, if you want to use Hullabaloo a combination of Quick Launch, High-Velocity Rounds, and Impulse Amplifier are going to make its projectiles travel extremely quickly making it much easier to hit enemy players.

It also makes sense to use Chain Reaction as it allows you to turn one Final Blow into two or three with no extra work required. This excels when the enemy team is grouped closely. Realistically though, the Hullabaloo isn’t a great PvP weapon as it’s relatively easy to jump over and avoid the waves it produces negating its damage potential altogether.

How to get Hullabaloo in Destiny 2

The Hullabaloo can be earned by depositing Medallions into the Podium found in The Tower during the Guardian Games 2024 event. The Heavy Grenade Launcher is also a reward for completing certain quests and challenges like Crest Collector and In It To Win It.

Best Hullabaloo alternative in Destiny 2

There aren’t that many good Heavy Grenade Launchers in Destiny 2, but the Hullabaloo still has some competition with the Cataphract GL3 being the stand-out option. Though exclusive to Trials of Osiris, the Cataphract GL3 is a legitimate DPS powerhouse and has great add clear potential with Chain Reaction.
