Could Bradley Cooper finally bag himself an Oscar at the Academy Awards? A lot of fans certainly seem to think so after catching a glimpse of his next performance in the Maestro trailer.

Over the years, Bradley Cooper has proven he’s got range, leading to a grand total of nine Oscar nominations, including Best Actor for Silver Linings Playbook, American Sniper, and A Star is Born.

However, he’s still yet to take home the little gold statue – but fans think he might be in for one following his performance in the upcoming Netflix movie Maestro. Even we said in our four-star review of the film: “Maestro is likely to be up there cinematically with the likes of Academy Award winners La La Land and The Artist.”

Now a new trailer has dropped, leaving fans even more convinced of Cooper’s future success.

Fans convinced Bradley Cooper to bag first Oscar for Maestro

The new trailer for Netflix’s Maestro transports viewers back to vintage Hollywood, with black-and-white shots, emotive orchestral music, and Bradley Cooper and Carey Mulligan looking the part as American composer Leonard Bernstein and his wife Felicia Montealegre.

Check out the trailer below:

Fans have shared plenty of praise for the teaser, especially when it comes to Cooper, who also took up directing duties for the film. Taking to X/Twitter, one wrote: “Bradley Cooper’s performance as Bernstein is already giving an Oscar contender.”

“Oscar best picture,” said another, while a third added: “Another actor contender for the Oscar.” And a fourth chimed in: “Cooper is already ahead in Oscars contender with his performance… He really deserves the Oscar and much more. Hope he achieves it.”

Beyond the Academy Awards chat, one fan wrote: “This is one of my more anticipated films for the rest of the year due to wanting to see what Cooper can do outside of A Star Is Born, as well as the two great performances we are in store for. The scenes in color look GORGEOUS by the way.”

If you want to know more about Maestro, here’s the official synopsis: “From Director Bradley Cooper, Maestro is the towering and fearless love story chronicling the lifelong relationship between cultural icon Leonard Bernstein and Felicia Montealegre Cohn Bernstein.

“A love letter to life and art, Maestro, at its core, is an emotionally epic portrayal of family and love.”
