What is the best moveset for Hydreigon in Pokemon Go?

One of the best movesets for Hydreigon in Pokemon Go is Dragon Breath as a Fast Move and Brutal Swing as a Charged Move.

Both of Hydreigon’s potential Fast Moves, Bite and Dragon Breath, are brilliant STAB options, but Dragon Breath has superior energy generation which is important to get access to some powerful Charged Moves.

Speaking of Charged Moves, the new Community Day-exclusive attack Brutal Swing is now the number one attack for Hydreigon, with Dragon Pulse being a good secondary move for extra coverage options.

Things are looking good for Hydreigon with Brutal Swing, as early predictions point to the Community Day-exclusive attack being a brilliant addition to the psuedo-Legendary’s moveset in Pokemon Go.

With regards to PvE, Brutal Swing takes over Dark Pulse to become one of the best Dark-type Charged Moves in Raid Battles. Pair that with Bite as a Fast Move, and you’ve got a top-tier Dark-type attacker.

Unfortunately, Brutal Swing isn’t enough to make Hydreigon a star in the Pokemon Go Battle League. It has some niche potential in the Master League, but isn’t worth using in the Great League or Ultra League.

Hydreigon could be a standout in the Master League Premier Classic, where Legendaries and XL Candy-boosted Pokemon are banned, but it doesn’t look like that league will be returning anytime soon.
