Palworld Digtoise guide: Location, how to catch, skills & more

There are a lot of Pals to collect in Palworld and Digtoise is one that shines at collecting resources. Before you can put this tough turtle to work at your base, however, you’ll need to find and catch one first, so here’s everything you need to know about Distoise’s location in the game.

Mining is one of the most important roles in Palworld as it can get you important crafting and upgrading resources like Ore and Coal, and Digtoise is one of the best creatures for the job in Palworld – which has made this Pal massively popular among the community.

Where to find Digtoise in Palworld

Digtoise can be found in two main desert areas on the Galapagos Islands. The easiest one to reach surrounds the Anubis boss fight northwest of the starting area, on the Twilight Dunes.

Alternatively, you can also locate the Pal on the north side of the Dessicated Desert, near the Deep Sand Dunes Fast Travel point. Digtoise can be found at any time during the day or night in these locations.

How to catch it

Digtoise is fairly easy to catch, you simply need to chip away at its health and throw some Pal Spheres or Mega Spheres its way. We wouldn’t recommend using Higher quality Spheres for Distoise as it’s got a reasonable catch rate.

To be fully prepared to catch one, however, we’d advise bringing along a Grass-type Pal as Distoige is weak to them. Mossanda and Robinquill are particularly great options as some of the best Pals in the game.

How to Breed Digtoise

Another way to get a Distoise is by breeding. Simply put two Pals together in your Breeding farm, place the Large Rocky Egg you get in an Egg Incubator and wait for your Digtoise to hatch!

These are some of the best breeding combos for Digtoise:

• Mossanda + Tanzee
• Mossanda + Flopie
• Nox + Penking
• Woolipop + Penking
• Woolipop + Cinnamoth
• Killamari + Nitewing
• Melpaca + Arsox

Keep in mind that you can breed as many Digtoise as you want and every one of them will have different Passive Skills, so you can keep hatching eggs until you find the perfect one for you.

As well as having a Level 3 work suitability for Mining, Digtoise can also learn the following active skills:

Sand Tornado	Generates two sand tornadoes on either side before launching them at an enemy.	Level 30
Aqua Burst	Creates a giant ball of water and hurls it at an enemy.	Level 40

What loot does it drop?

When you defeat or catch a Digtoise in Palworld, it has the chance to drop either Ore or High Quality Pal Oil.

Ore is used to get Ingots, and Pal Oil is used in Polymer recipes – a fantastic resource for building guns including the Pump-action Shotgun, Double-barrelled Shotgun, and the Rocket Launcher.
