GTA 6 leak

GTA 6 is arguably the most-anticipated game being developed at the moment, with fans eager for any slither of information. A massive leak claims to have revealed a number of key GTA 6 details, from the locations the game will cover, to GTA Online details.

After GTA 5 became one of the best-selling games of all time, it’s no surprise that the hype surrounding the follow-up, GTA 6, is absolutely huge. Fans have spent nearly a decade speculating where GTA 6 will take place, and how Rockstar will innovate on its open-world formula.

In that time we’ve seen a number of supposed leaks emerge. Most recently, we got word that GTA 4 protagonist Nico Bellic could show up and that the story will span multiple decades.

Now, in one of the biggest alleged leaks so far, we may have details on GTA 6’s locations, as well as how GTA Online will look going forward.

Fans have been wondering where GTA 6 will take place for year.

In a since-deleted post, Reddit user TestPattern5 shared a comprehensive document of GTA 6 details. It featured a wealth of information including biographies on a trio of main characters that players will be able to switch between during the single-player campaign.

They claimed the three playable characters will be:

  • Ricardo – An ex-special agent from Columbia who “aspires to the life that the Los Perros Locos cartel bosses had when he was growing up.”
  • Rose – A police officer whose husband passed away before the beginning of the game, leading her into a spiral of addiction and depression.
  • Casey – A former boxer described as “Trevor if he wasn’t psychotic.” He has “no problem hurting people” for money.

The document goes on to explain that the story of these three characters will begin in South America with Ricardo, before taking them to Liberty State, Carcer City, Vice City, and Cottonmouth. Liberty State contains Liberty City, the setting of GTA 4, while Carcer City and Cottonmouth are locations from Rockstar’s Manhunt series.

GTA 5 featured three protagonists, will GTA 6 follow suit?

There were also a handful of gameplay details mentioned in the leak, outlining the unique features each character will bring to the table. One of the most interesting is that Rose, as a police officer, can order responders away from a crime scene that she has created, helping them avoid a wanted level.

Meanwhile, Ricardo and Casey can recruit members into their very own criminal empires, with the former overseeing a South American cartel and the latter heading up activities in Carcer and Liberty City.

While these, if accurate, will likely make up core parts of GTA 6, side activities go a long way to helping the world feel alive and real. The document mentioned that players will be able to take part in:

  • Gambling
  • Golfing
  • Surfing
  • Skateboarding
  • Tennis
  • Pool
  • Chess
  • Basketball
  • Bowling
  • Strip Clubs
  • Cinemas
  • Arcades

Rockstar is expected to go bigger and better with GTA Online.

Although fans love single-player content in every GTA game, there’s no doubt GTA Online has become the biggest money-maker for Rockstar in recent years. It’s not a shock then that the leak hints at some big addition to the multiplayer mode in GTA 6.

It claimed that players will be able to control four different characters, each with a different backstory and role in the world, as well as separate bank accounts and assets.

There will also allegedly be live sporting events taking place in-game that players can bet on. These are said to take place every week, and fans can “watch along live with their favorite streamers on Facebook, YouTube, and Twitch.”

Of course, everything we’ve mentioned here is purely speculation at the moment, so take the reveals with a pinch of salt. With GTA 6 now officially in development, it hopefully won’t be long until we get our first real peek at the game.
