The recent Fall Guys update did not only make the game free-to-play for everyone but also introduced cross-platform progression as well as made its way into the Xbox and the Switch platforms. Here’s everything you need to know about this new update.

After its initial release in 2020, Fall Guys became a cultural phenomenon and one of the most popular games on streaming platforms. While the game’s hype did die down a little, Season 1 brings it to Xbox and Nintendo Switch for the first time.

Now free-to-play, too, it’s the perfect time to jump into the whacky game show. Here’s everything you can expect from Fall Guys Season 1.

Fall Guys Season 1 start time

According to the server info on June 21, Fall Guys Season 1 is already live! So jump in (once you’ve downloaded the patch, of course).

New platforms for Fall Guys

Apart from the previously available Steam and PlayStation platforms, Fall Guys is now also available on Xbox, Switch, and Epic Games Store. However, you should note that new players will no longer be able to download the game from Steam. Nevertheless, older players who have the game on Steam will continue to receive updates and support for the game.

Having said that, the only place for new players to download Fall Guys on PC is from the Epic Games Store. Additionally, you should also note that signing into your Epic Games account is now compulsory to play Fall Guys even if you have the game on Steam.

With all of that being said, the cherry on top for Fall Guys fans is that the game now supports cross-progression across all platforms that it is available on. Here’s a list of all the platforms on which you can play Fall Guys:

New content in Fall Guys

Similar to all major updates, the Fall Guys Season 1 launch is accompanied by a plethora of new in-game content. Ranging from new rounds to new obstacles and currency changes, there are plenty of new things for everyone to explore and get acquainted with.

New Rounds

The recent update has introduced three new rounds in Fall Guys. These are:

Hex-A-Ring
Volleyfall
Speed Circuit

New Obstacles

The Season 1 launch of Fall Guys has introduced three new obstacles that you can find in the game. These obstacles are:

Blast Ball
Jump Rope
(Very) Bouncy Floors

Rewards for existing Fall Guys players

All existing Fall Guys players will receive the Legacy Pack for free in Season 1.

Given that the game went free-to-play, Mediatonic has chosen to reward existing players with a legacy pack. According to the official statement from the developers, every player who had previously logged into the Blunderdome will receive a free Season 1 Legacy Pack which contains the Season Pass as well as a bundle of cosmetic goodies.
