Jordan Peele’s Get Out is a new staple of horror cinema, and now the Sunken Place is coming back to the big screen.

As September is here, that means one thing: Halloween is right around the corner. And with it, comes a great excuse to watch nothing but horror movies for the next few months straight.

When it comes to horror movies, there are plenty that changed the game. And one of the most recent and best iconic genre bending spooky flicks is none other than Jordan Peele’s cinematic debut, Get Out.

The 2017 film was a hit amongst critics and audiences, and spawned a whole new way of thinking about horror. And now, it’s coming back to cinemas.

Get out is coming back to AMC Theatres

It’s true, you will be able to see Get Out on the big screen once again as of September 22, 2023.

The movie will run at AMC theatres for a limited time between the 22ndand 28th of September. Tickets will be available on the AMC website.

Just in case you’ve forgotten, the synopsis of Get Out reads “Now that Chris and his girlfriend, Rose, have reached the meet-the-parents milestone of dating, she invites him for a weekend getaway upstate with her parents, Missy and Dean. At first, Chris reads the family’s overly accommodating behaviour as nervous attempts to deal with their daughter’s interracial relationship, but as the weekend progresses, a series of increasingly disturbing discoveries leads him to a truth that he never could have imagined.”

Get Out received a 98% critics rating on Rotten Tomatoes, kicked off Jordan Peele’s career as a horror auteur, and arguably began a whole new genre of scary movie. So you’d certainly be missing out if you don’t book your tickets to head back to the horror of the Sunken Place.
