Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut is finally coming to PC. Here is the release date, new features specific to PC hardware and everything else you need to know.

Ghost of Tsushima was originally released as one of the last first-party PS4 games back in 2020. The following year it would receive a Director’s Cut edition for PS5 owners with enhanced features and new content, as well as a DLC campaign.

After rumors that the game would eventually be released on other platforms, the game is finally set to release in a few days. Here are all the details.

Ghost of Tsushima PC release date

Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut will be released for PC on May 16th, 2024. It is currently available for pre-order on Steam and the Epic Games Store. Pre-ordering the game will also give you the following in-game unlocks:

New Game+ Horse travel companion
Traveler’s Attire – fit for a seasoned warrior
Broken Armor dyes from Baku’s shop.

The port is being developed by Nixxes, a studio experienced in PC ports. The company is also responsible for the upcoming Horizon Forbidden West PC port and is also owned by Sony Interactive Entertainment.

The first official trailer for Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut on PC was released on March 6th, 2024 and can be watched below.

It highlights some of the new PC-specific features coming to the game, including ultrawide resolutions, Nvidia Reflex low latency support, and upscaling technologies.

The trailer also shows that all content available in the PS5 version of the game will be available here, including the Iki Island expansion, Legends multiplayer, and Kurosawa Mode.

Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut adds a variety of new features exclusive to the PC release which take advantage of hardware and software for those who have the capabilities. Here is the full list of everything included as announced by Sony:

Ultrawide support for 21:9, 32:9 and 48:9 resolutions
NVIDIA DLSS 3 and AMD FSR 3 upscaling and frame generation options
NVIDIA DLAA or FSR 3 Native AA quality options
Steam input controller remapping
PlayStation DualSense haptic feedback and adaptive triggers support

Does Ghost of Tsushima PC require a PSN account?

You will require a PSN account to play Ghost of Tsushima Legends multiplayer mode and to use the PlayStation overlay as revealed by Sucker Punch Studios on X (formerly Twitter).

That said, you don’t require a PSN account to play the single-player mode which can be enjoyed offline.
