A reliable Rockstar Games insider has revealed some horrific news about GTA 6’s development amid rumblings that an official trailer could be dropping soon.

GTA 6 has still yet to be officially announced by Rockstar despite years of waiting, but recent comments from those high up at the company have suggested that the wait could finally be over soon.

As fans anticipate news from the developer about a trailer or release date, a credible insider who has accurately leaked Rockstar titles in the past is sharing bad news about the game’s development.

In a post on GTA Forums, Tez2 responded to users optimistically discussing the eventual PC release of the next Grand Theft Auto game and had to share some unfortunate new details.

GTA 6 delayed on PC according to credible insider

Historically speaking, Rockstar tends to release console versions of its big games first before following up with PC versions, but that may not have been the plan for GTA VI.

According to Tez2, just one year ago, he would have been optimistic for GTA 6 to release on PC the same day it comes out on consoles, but things have changed.

“Internally, the PC version is more buggy than the console versions. Rockstar wouldn’t want to end up with a ‘Star Wars Jedi Survivor’ or ‘The Last of Us Part 1’ PC situation for the most anticipated game,” he noted.

This comes amid rumors that a GTA 6 announcement could finally be coming in October with the game potentially planned to be released as early as 2024.

“I’ve heard from various sources that the devs expect VI PC release to happen after citing more time needed,” he said. “Hopefully, it’s a delay of a few months.”

Tez2 didn’t elaborate on why the PC version could be delayed, but Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has claimed that the infamous gameplay leak from last year hadn’t affected the game’s development.

In any case, hopefully, we won’t have much longer to wait for a proper GTA 6 reveal, even if the PC version ends up being a bit behind schedule.
