Monster collecting games are hugely popular, and the newest game to provide a unique twist on the genre is Palworld. The open-world survival title from Pocket Pair was lovingly dubbed ‘Pokemon with guns’ before the game was released, and it’s already become a big hit on Steam following its early access launch on PC and Xbox consoles.

You can catch and battle creatures known as Pals in the game and it also features base-building mechanics, item crafting, and raids but you may be wondering if you can experience all the content with friends.

Does Palworld have multiplayer co-op?

Yes, Palworld does support co-op multiplayer.

Palworld allows up to 4 players to play together. This means you can invite your friends into your world, which is great for taking down tough enemies and defending your base from unwanted attacks. Additionally, you’ll also be able to trade Pals with one another. As well as online co-op play, there’s also a dedicated server option that enables adventurers to host up to 32 players in multiplayer.

It’s important to note that PvP is not currently supported in Palworld. However, the developers are testing PvP functionality and it’s expected to arrive in the future. During the official Q&A, Pocketpair said the following:

“We want to find the right type of PvP that fits Palworld and when it is ready, we will share news with you all.”

The maximum number of players on a server will also be increased in a future update, which means there will be even more chances to flex your skills against other players.
