It’s possible that a prequel spin-off series has never been so successful – or so popular – as CBS’ Young Sheldon. Following the complex and humorous childhood of The Big Bang Theory’s Sheldon Cooper, the sitcom is now reaching its seventh and final season.
With the Cooper children all grown up, Sheldon is getting to grips with studying abroad in Season 7, while the rest of the family deals with the fallout of a Texan tornado – which has previously been leaked here.
Viewers can expect 14 new episodes before they have to say goodbye – but what time does Young Sheldon Season 7 officially premiere?
What time does Young Sheldon Season 7 premiere?
Young Sheldon Season 7 premiered on Thursday, February 15 at 8pm ET/PT. Episode 2 is due to be released on February 22.
Season 7 Episode 1, titled ‘Half a Wiener Schnitzel and Underwear in a Tree’, drops on CBS and Paramount+ for US fans later this week. From there, episodes will air on a weekly basis, meaning the Season 7 finale will be on May 16, 2024.

At the time of writing, only the first three episodes have received an official synopsis. From this, we know that Sheldon and Mary are set to stay in Germany until at least Episode 3, with Dale creeping back on the scene after Meemaw loses her house in the tornado during Episode 1.
As for the end of Young Sheldon Season 7, it’s still anybody’s guess, meaning that fan predictions are running rife.
One Reddit prediction reads: “Since we know George dies and Sheldon leaves for California, I think on the last episode, as he leaves, he remembers the flight they took to California together.”
“George dies. Sheldon goes to Cal Tech. Missy continues to break bad. Mary gets even more religious and forgives Brenda. Connie and Dr. Sturgis get married or live together. Dale gets kicked to the curb. Pastor Jeff gets caught cheating on his wife. Georgie and Mandy get married. Georgie starts working at Mandy’s dad’s tire shop which he eventually inherits or buys out. They get their own TV show,” another theorizes.
George Cooper Snr.’s death is a hotly contested issue, with some fans believing that it won’t ever be shown outright on screen.
