After months of speculation, hints, and a mysterious notification, Fedmyster confirmed he’s finally making a comeback on Twitch after all the controversy and drama that went down between him and members of the OfflineTV house.

Update June 23

Fedmyster went live in a June 23 Twitch broadcast that left his fans confused and his critics furious.

Rather than kicking off with an official stream, Fedmyster instead played a seven-minute-long video detailing his life since his social media hiatus and announced that his true comeback would take place on June 25.

Update June 22

Fedmyster left no room for speculation in announcing his return to Twitch and the larger scope of the internet’s microscope.

After going silent in late June 2020, Fed confirmed he will be returning to Twitch on Wednesday, June 22 at 1 PM PST / 4 PM EST.

Original story follows below…

Federico Michael Gaytan, better known as Fedmyster, has been keeping a low profile since he was removed from the Offline TV house following sexual misconduct allegations made by House Manager Yvonne ‘Yvonnie’ Ng.

However, he inadvertently stirred the pot towards the end of 2020 after a document he wrote about his situation with Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys got leaked. But now that the situation is dead and buried, it left many people wondering what happened to him and whether he’ll ever return to Twitch.

Well, it looks like it’s finally happening.

Fans received a mysterious notification implying a comeback stream was on the cards, however, they figured it was probably a false alarm, like the one that happened in February 2021. That’s not the case though, Fedmyster has confirmed: the comeback stream is real.

In a screenshot taken from his private discord server and sent to Dexerto — which has since been sighted by Dexerto in the channel as well — a fan asked him whether the date mentioned in the push notification was the “real date” of his comeback stream or whether it was “another fake.”

Fedmyster responded, saying, “It’s happening.” So, you heard it straight from the horse’s mouth; he really is returning to the streaming platform, after all this time.

Fedmyster Twitch Return Confirmed

Fedmyster fans receive mysterious push notification

Earlier this week, Fedmyster’s fans received a mysterious notification claiming that his next stream will take place on Thursday, June 24.

However, most assumed it was a false alarm because he didn’t comment on it at the time, and a similar thing happened several months earlier streaming schedule.

Fed’s February return never eventuates

The first false alarm happened when fans suspected he was making a comeback in February. His Twitch channel’s schedule section said he was on vacation and would return in 20 days on February 3rd, 2021.

However, it ultimately didn’t eventuate.

Because of that, fans are skeptical about whether he’ll come back again anytime soon, even after receiving the push notification.

It’s been a while, but all the signs point towards Fedmyster doing a comeback stream on Twitch.

Either way, now that we know Fedmyster’s return is happening for real, it will be interesting to see how the community responds.

On the one hand, some think he deserves a chance to redeem himself in the public’s eyes and focus on creating content. But on the other hand, he’s become maligned after everything that went down. So, it will almost certainly evoke mixed feelings.
