How to watch Deji vs Mayweather

In one of the most surprising head-to-head fights yet, YouTuber Deji was taken down by boxing legend Floyd Mayweather.

Floyd Mayweather, who ‘retired’ with a 50-0 record (27 KOs), has been dabbling in the YouTube boxing scene. He took on Logan Paul in an exhibition match in June 2021, with no outright winner declared. Floyd later claimed that it wasn’t a “real” fight.

Again, his fight with Deji will also be an exhibition, taking place later this year, as the 1-3 YouTube takes on the 50-0 boxing great.

Floyd dances his way to a win over Deji

After a painfully long wait, 1-2 influencer boxer Deji and 50-0 professional boxer Floyd Mayweather finally stepped into the ring. But round 1 didn’t start with the high-octane action viewers were hoping for. Floyd played with Deji while having complete control of the match, having his hands down by his side and dancing around the ring.

Round two started off the same way. Floyd chanted with the crowd, kept his guard down, danced, and taunted. Deji did attempt to land a few body shots with a couple actually landing, but they didn’t stop Floyd from toying with his opponent.

Deji attempted to step up the aggression in Round 3, but Floyd answered each attempt by embarrassing Deji. More dancing, more smiling, but this time accompanied by a flurry of punches that seemingly injured Deji. But Deji needs to turn it on in the next few rounds to regain respect.

Round four saw Deji land a clean shot on Floyd which was a turning point in the fight. Mayweather put the goofy antics away and punished Deji’s attempt to put on the pressure.

The start of the fifth round looked more like boxing than the first four, but Mayweather returned to his tactics of getting into Deji’s head within 30 seconds. And once again, the round ended with not much action outside of Deji putting on a show.

Between rounds 5 and 6, Deji started to pull out his own taunts. This backfired as Floyd retaliated with a level of aggression we hadn’t yet seen. While both fighters began to pick up the pace and put on a match that reflected real boxing, Deji paid for his between-round showboating. With a little under 40 seconds to go, the referee called the match as Deji couldn’t handle the full-on assault from Mayweather.

Tommy Fury vs Rolly Lambert recap

As commentator Jake Paul stated, this fight was embarrassing. Over the course of six two-minute rounds, you could likely count the number of punches landed on two hands. A lot of footwork was on display as both fighters jumped and ran around the ring giving each other plenty of space to move around freely.

Because the fight was an exhibition, no winner was announced. However, it would have been difficult to score such an uneventful fight.

Ironically, the most action was on display following the fight. Coach John Fury and Tommy Fury stood feet from Jake Paul as both parties threw verbal shots at one another. Fury demanded Paul get in the ring to prove he is a man, while Paul asked Fury to meet him outside of the ring for a fight.

And at one point in time, Tommy nearly jumped out of the ring before members of his team grabbed and restrained him. The audience was mere moments away from seeing the Fury vs Paul fight they’d been waiting for, but the barking settled to a dull roar as the fighters gave up their pointless pursuits.

Deji vs Mayweather hosted by KSI’s Misfits Boxing

On October 17, it was revealed that Deji vs Mayweather will be hosted by KSI’s Misfits Boxing brand – a huge step for the company, which has already hosted two events, including KSI’s ‘two fights, one night’ event on August 27 and the Jay Swingler vs Cherdleys card on October 15.

The brother of KSI, Deji lost his first three fights, but made amends with his first victory coming over Fousey in August.

Meanwhile, his brother is also attempting to lock in his next fight, with Jake Paul and Andrew Tate both taunting him.

Paul Bamba withdrawal, Fury fights Rolly Lambert

While the co-main event was seemingly going to be canceled, Global Titans announced that Bamba had withdrawn from the fight and would be replaced by Fury’s new opponent, current WBC, and WBA Asia Champion Rolly Lambert (15-1-1) (12 KOs).
