Pokemon Go features many tiny creatures that evolve into powerful monsters, such as Beldum. Here are details on whether it can be found as a Shiny and how to catch it in the mobile game.

Pokemon Go features a variety of great Pokemon with lots of potential like Beldum.

The Iron Ball Pokemon has been popular among fans since it debuted in Gen 3’s Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire. This is in large part because of its powerful evolutionary line. Beldum evolves into Metang and eventually Metagross, which is a strong pseudo-Legendary with solid dual typing

Trainers may be wondering just how to get this tiny powerhouse and whether or not it can be Shiny in Pokemon Go. So, let’s break down every detail you need to know about finding Beldum in the mobile game.

How to get Beldum in Pokemon Go

There are currently three main ways to get Beldum in Pokemon Go:

  • Encounter Beldum in the wild
  • Defeat and catch Beldum in 1-Star Raids
  • Trade another player for a Beldum

The most straightforward way to catch Beldum in Pokemon Go is to find it in the wild. While it can be a bit tricky to encounter, Beldum has a higher spawn rate in Snow and Windy weather.

Additionally, Beldum can sometimes be encountered in 1-Star Raid battles and is currently among the featured Raid bosses for April 2024.

It is not currently possible to hatch Beldum from any Eggs.

How to evolve Beldum into Metang and Metagross

To evolve Beldum into Metang, you’ll have to feed it 25 Candy. To evolve Metang into its final stage, Metagross, you’ll need another 100 Candy.

Since you’ll need a lot of Beldum Candy, be sure to take advantage of 1-Star Raids when available. You can also use Pinap Berries to increase how much Candy you get from a catch.

Can Beldum be Shiny in Pokemon Go?

Yes, Beldum can appear as a Shiny in Pokemon Go. Shiny Beldum made its debut in Pokemon Go back in February of 2021, meaning it has been available to catch for three years now.

Shiny Beldum certainly is striking thanks to its silver sheen and golden claws.

Pokemon Go Beldum stats, moves & move

Beldum is a Psychic/Steel-type Pokemon, which gives it resistances to over half the types in the game. It’s great defensive typing, but since Beldum’s moveset is quite limited, you’ll want to evolve it as soon as possible.

Beldum has the following stats in Pokemon Go:
