You’ll need to have plenty of Paldium Fragments on hand for crafting various items in Palworld, so here’s exactly how you can get the resource in the creature collecting game.

The base-building elements, challenging bosses to fight, and massive array of Pals to collect and fight alongside in Palworld have appealed to a hugely broad player base. As a result, the game has already become a massive hit, quickly topping the Steam charts.

That said, there’s a lot to learn to get the most out of the game, including understanding the many elements and materials the world offers. One of the biggest is Paldium Fragments, which play a major role in the construction of some of Palworld’s most essential items.

So, here’s exactly how you can get Paldium Fragments in Palworld.

Complete Paldium Fragments guide

At the time of writing, there are four primary methods of accumulating Paldium Fragments in-game. These vary in their effectiveness, but it shouldn’t be too long before there’s a surplus in the camp storage.

Loose Paldium Fragments

The easiest method of gaining Paldium Fragments is to simply pick them up in the open world. Scout around for small, blue, shiny rocks and grab them off the ground. It’s actually possible to see these shards from a significant distance in the daytime, as they shine far brighter than ordinary rocks or stones.

Mine Paldium Fragments from regular stone boulders

It’s possible to accumulate Paldium Fragments by mining regular stone. These will drop at a ratio of one Fragment for every five stone. This is an excellent method of farming, mainly because players will need a considerable amount of stone over the course of a playthrough. Essentially, this will function as a passive Paldium Fragment income, over the course of mining for another material.

Mine Paldium Fragment boulders

The most direct and active route to accumulating Paldium Fragments on the part of the player, this is a great way to gather the resource early. After building a simple Stone Pickaxe, look for large boulders with blue veins coursing through it. These are made exclusively of Paldium Fragments and offer a quick and lucrative way of topping up the supply.

Use a Crusher in camp to let Pals do the work

Though this is not a viable method at the start of the game, it’s easily the most effective when unlocked. Crushers are devices that become available at Level 8 on the technology tree, and players should unlock them immediately. Essentially, the Crusher destroys existing stone in the camp to extract Paldium Fragments, just as players do when mining.

This is particularly advantageous for two reasons. Firstly, by the time it becomes an available option, there will likely be a massive surplus of stone in camp. Secondly, a Pal can be assigned to the task of feeding stone into the machine, allowing the camp to generate the resource without any intervention from the player.

The only limitation is that it requires a Pal with the Watering trait to operate the machine, and players aren’t able to do it themselves. Teafant is an excellent choice from the Pals available early on in the game.

That’s every currently available method of earning Paldium Fragments. With players continually advancing through the game, more will likely emerge, and this guide will be updated to reflect that.
