What do you need to find the VIP Keycard in Sons of the Forest?

Before you start making your way to the VIP Keycard location, you should gather some things to take with you to ensure your access and well as to increase your chances of survival.

Maintenance Keycard
The Rebreather
An Air Tank
A flashlight
A powerful weapon
Plenty of ammunition
Food and drinks
Medical supplies

You can get the Maintenance Keycard hidden inside a bunker under the Maintenance Hatch A on the northwestern side of the map. To get it, you’ll need a Shovel to dig the Hatch out.

VIP Keycard location in Sons of the Forest

Virginia Puffton’s VIP Keycard is located inside the Food and Dining Bunker on the northwestern side of the map. You can recognize the cave’s entrance by the two abandoned golf carts with corpses sitting outside.

It’s worth noting that during this quest you’ll find incredible loot like a Crossbow, Crossbow Bolts, a Shotgun Rail, a laptop, plenty of food, and even Virginia’s dress.

How to get the VIP Keycard in Sons of the Forest

Before stepping into the cave make sure you’ve equipped your flashlight, and then follow these steps:

Follow the cave’s unregular path until -at the end of it- you see a trap door on the ground.
Go down the hatch and on the right side, you’ll find a locked door.
Use the Maintenence Key to open it and go in.
Go through the three hydroponic rooms.
In the next room, go forward and take the path on the left.
Go down the stairs and take a left again. You’ll end up in a flooded room.
Swim through the three rooms and take a right.
Follow the corridor all the way through until you bump into a big white locked door.
While looking at it, step back and go inside the open door on the left side.
Go through that room and take a left.
Keep swimming until you reach some stairs. Go up and you’ll see a surveillance office.
On the desk, under the monitors, you’ll find the VIP Keycard.

With the VIP Keycard, you can go back to the long corridor with the big white locked door and open it. You’ll see Jianyu Zang and some operatives escaping the place, so put on your Rebreather and follow them to the exit.

What is the VIP Keycard used for in Sons of the Forest?

The VIP Keycard can be used to open the large dining hall inside the Food and Dining Bunker, which triggers a cinematic that is part of the main storyline.

Without the VIP Keycard, players can’t access this particular space and therefore can’t unlock the final portion of the game.
