Sons of the Forest Player Count

From its early access launch on February 23, 2023, Sons of the Forest has taken players on a whirlwind adventure, both in-game and in terms of its player base. According to Steam Charts, it achieved an all-time high of 411,804 players during the first month of early access, outpacing even the highly anticipated Starfield on Steam’s most wish-listed charts.

At the time of writing, the game maintains a healthy level of engagement, with 7,223 players currently exploring its eerie landscape and a 24-hour peak reaching 7,387. Over the last 30 days, the average player count has hovered around 5,808, showcasing a steady community interest despite the natural ebb and flow typical in the gaming world.

The months following its release have seen varying levels of player activity. By March 2023, an impressive average of 61,695.5 players was recorded, indicating strong retention and sustained interest.

However, the narrative of the subsequent months painted a picture of fluctuation. April witnessed a significant drop in average players to 14,039.2, a sharp 77.24% decrease from March. This trend reversed in July, with a 65.84% increase in average players, highlighting the game’s resilience and ability to recapture players’ attention through updates and new content.

The rollercoaster didn’t stop there. From April to January 2024, player counts experienced ups and downs, eventually stabilizing between 5,806.5 and 8,103.7 average players. These shifts reflect the game’s ongoing development, the community’s feedback, and the introduction of fresh gameplay elements.

As we edge closer to the full release scheduled for February 22, 2024, it’s intriguing to speculate on how Sons of the Forest will continue to evolve and attract players.
