The Flashlight is one of the most essential items a player can have in Sons of the Forest. Whether it’s shedding light on dark places or deadly foes, it’s going to come in handy. Here’s where to find the Flashlight in Sons of the Forest.

Sons of the Forest’s gameplay is made all the more thrilling thanks to its day/night cycle and the many deep cave systems and underground bunkers throughout the terrain.

As the sun sets, the island becomes even more malevolent. Having a light to shine in the shadows definitely comes in handy for survival in the game. Here’s how to find the Flashlight in Sons of the Forest.

How to get a Flashlight in Sons of the Forest

Players can use the GPS Locator to help them find the Flashlight.

The easiest Flashlight to get in Sons of the Forest isn’t too difficult to find. Making it easy for players to grab the item early. It’s located north-west of the snowy mountain and can be found among the belongings of the body of a dead soldier hanging from a rope off a cliff.

Using the GPS Locator on the mini-map is the easiest way to find the Flashlight, thanks to the GPS Locator on the body, it will show up as a purple symbol.

Players can either climb up the cliff and cut the rope, or shoot the rope. Either way, once the body hits the floor, players can search the area around it to find the Flashlight. It’s also worth grabbing the soldier’s GPS Locator too.

How to use the Flashlight in Sons of the Forest

As one might expect, the Flashlight’s power won’t last forever. Players will need to use batteries to keep it powered.

Fortunately, this isn’t the only Flashlight to be found on the island. Players can find another Flashlight in the cave with the Shovel.
