Android users who love playing Fortnite are in for a treat. In Chapter 5, Season 4, the game has released two new free skins players can obtain just by playing from the platform. 

One of them is the Katalina skin with additional rewards, which you can get just by completing missions. The other is the Samsung-exclusive Sorina skin, part of the Spaced-Touched Serenity set.

How to play Fortnite on Android

Those eager to play Fortnite on Android can play the game via the Epic Games Store app. For the record, this isn’t available on Google Play Store, as you’ll need to visit Epic’s site to get it. Here’s a step-by-step guide to download and install it to enjoy the game on the go.

  1. Head to the Epic Games Store app download page.
  2. Select Download Anyway.
  3. Open the file from your browser’s download list or file manager.
  4. Next, enable the Installing Unknown Apps option if prompted.
  5. Install the Epic Games Store app and wait for the process to finish.
  6. Look up Fortnite in the Epic Games Store app.
  7. Download Fortnite and follow the rest of the prompts.
  8. You should now be able to launch the game.

How to play Fortnite on Android using cloud gaming services

If your phone can’t run Fortnite smoothly, playing the game on cloud gaming services is also a viable option. However, do keep in mind that this platform will not count for Katalina’s skin missions, even if you’re playing on an Android. For now, there are three methods to play Fortnite using cloud gaming services.

Xbox Cloud Gaming

To play Fortnite on Xbox Cloud Gaming, you must first link your Fortnite and Microsoft accounts. This can be done by heading to your Epic Games account settings and selecting Xbox under Connections.

Once you’re all set, follow the steps below:

  1. Go to the Xbox Cloud Gaming site.
  2. Enter your account details and sign in.
  3. Look up Fortnite and start playing.

GeForce NOW

As for GeForce NOW, you play Fortnite directly via the app from the Google Play Store. You can play the game directly without linking your account here, but you’ll have to log into your Epic Games account whenever you start a new session on the platform.

To avoid the hassle, you can link your accounts by going to GeForce NOW Settings > Connections > Epic Games in the GeForce NOW app. Once that’s done, follow the steps below to start playing.

  1. Open the GeForce NOW app.
  2. Enter your account details and sign in.
  3. Search for Fortnite in the games list and click Play.

Amazon Luna

To play Fortnite on Amazon Luna on your Android device, you’ll need to be subscribed to Amazon Prime or Luna+ on your Amazon Account. Once you have an active membership, follow the steps below.

  1. Head to the Amazon Luna page from your browser
  2. Log in to your Amazon account
  3. Search for Fortnite on the homepage.
  4. Click the game and press Start.
