Mizkif’s birthday call for his dad goes wrong in the best way possible

Matthew ‘Mizkif’ Rinaudo almost forgot to call his dad up on his birthday, but to make up for it, he got hundreds of people from his Twitch chat to sing “Happy Birthday” to him – or at least, that was the plan.

There are a few certainties that come with birthdays — aging a year older, getting a present or two, and having happy birthday sung at you by anyone who passes by. Mizkif’s dad passed the big 60 today, but his son almost forgot to celebrate with a chipper tune.

“I don’t know why a guy jumping out of a window made me remember this but it’s my dad’s birthday,” the streamer said. “Oh sh*t. He just turned 60.”

Mizkif almost forgot to call his dad on his birthday, but his chat came through clutch with a ‘perfect’ rendition of “Happy Birthday.”

Frantically running around to try and reach out to his dad, Mizkif had the perfect idea — call him up on stream and get his Twitch chat to sing “Happy Birthday” to him.

“Hey Dad, I’m on stream, but it’s your birthday. Chat, everyone get in my Discord right now and let’s sing happy birthday to my dad,” he said. His dad on the other end of the line patiently waited for the salutations to come through, as dozens of people joined the call every second.

There’s a slight issue with this plan though. Discord’s voice calls aren’t the greatest things once you break past a few people speaking at the same time, especially when it’s people repeating the same thing.

So when Mizkif started feeding hundreds of his viewers into his general chat to sing happy birthday, what came out was a convoluted mess.

Mizkif did reassure his dad that it was indeed happy birthday they were singing. “They’re singing happy birthday to you, do you hear them,” he said. The Discord was so loud it was impossible to hear the streamer’s dad over the static, but one can assume he was a little bit confused.

After about 45 seconds, Mizkif waved his chat off and said that he’d give his dad a proper callback with a more heartfelt message than high-pitched squealing.

Mizkif seemed pretty pleased with his Twitch chat’s efforts of singing “Happy Birthday.”

The streamer seemed pretty proud of his efforts, even saying it was “better than expected.” However, ‘Nemz38’, who was on call with him at the same time, had a cheeky dig at the gibberish that went through Mizkif’s line to his dad.

“Imagine being such a bad son that you spend three hours in a call getting your ego stroked and not saying happy birthday to your dad, and then when you remember, you call him and you play that down the phone,” he said. “I understand why you got kicked out now.”

Mizkif didn’t take the insult laying down, firing right back at the British streamer. “Shut the f**k up dude,” he said. “I bet you probably stroke your dad’s c**k every single night just to stay in your little f**king cubby of a room in the UK you loser, I hate you.”

Mizkif turned off his stream about an hour later to hopefully give his father a nice call and wish him happy birthday properly.

It wasn’t the most conventional way of letting your relatives know that you love them, but the joke was not lost on Mizkif or his dad. It was probably the most people his dad has ever heard singing happy birthday at the same time, so while it was a bit of a mess, it was the best mess possible.

Jake Paul has already set his sights on new boxing opponents such as Conor McGregor, Dillon Danis and even his brother Logan Paul, after his impressive second round K.O. victory over former NBA star Nate Robinson.

Following the highly anticipated Tyson vs Jones Jr boxing card on November 28, YouTube star Jake Paul came away from the night as one of the biggest winners after his win over Nate Robinson went viral.

The Calabasas-based content creator put on a strong performance in the co-main event with a knockout in the second round, moving to a 2-0 record as a professional boxer, and immediately began issuing challenges for his next bout.

Conor McGregor was one of the fighters Jake Paul challenged to a boxing fight.

During the post-fight interview, Jake Paul revealed that he would soon be looking to take a step up in competition after his time off, even challenging some of the biggest MMA stars in the world.

He explained that he would be interested in taking on Conor McGregor, a two-division UFC champion, as well as Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu star and undefeated Bellator fighter, Dillon Danis, who he has had an ongoing feud with.

“I’m taking this seriously,” Paul explained, predicting KO victories over both athletes, “There’s a long list of opponents that I want. Conor McGregor, Dillon Danis, I’m going to knock them both out.”

While many viewers claimed it could be too soon for Jake to take on life-long fighters, he also shared a list of other content creators he’d like to meet in the ring, including his brother Logan Paul and YouTube rival KSI.

“There’s my brother, there’s KSI on the line, Austin McBroom.” he admitted, “I want to be in this sport a long time. I’m in love with it, so why not.”

KSI was quick to respond to the challenge, claiming that he was not impressed with Jake’s performance on the night, even though he had earned multiple knockdowns during the bout.

Whether he will get to fight any of these stars in the coming months remains unclear, but he has certainly generated a lot of hype around his name following his impressive win.
