Dr Disrespect hints Twitch paid him more than Shroud & Ninja’s Mixer deals

With more and more streamers jumping ship from Twitch to Mixer, Dr Disrespect has hinted that the Amazon-owned platform may have paid him to remain on their site.

For years, Twitch has been the home of video game streaming, with millions of viewers flocking to the site to watch their favorite content creators and professional players play games live for their enjoyment.

Throughout 2019 though, major names like Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins and Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek have all made the move to Microsoft’s Mixer, and with more likely to ditch Twitch, many have looked at Dr Disrespect as a possible defector from the platform.

Dr Disrespect seems unlikely to be joining shroud on Mixer.

The Doc has already taken cheeky shots at Mixer, roasting shroud by claiming that nobody would follow him to the platform, and claiming that he was the first streamer approached by Microsoft to enter an exclusive deal with them.

He then stated that the decision to “buy” Ninja and shroud from Twitch was a mistake, claiming that the concurrent viewership was too low on the site for him to even consider moving, before hinting that Twitch may have even paid him to remain with them for the foreseeable future.

“Imagine getting paid more than these other guys to stay,” The Doc told his chat with a grin. “Imagine that. Imagine if that was something, huh?”

Of course, with Dr Disrespect it’s almost impossible to know whether he’s being serious, or just playing up his character, who believes he’s at the very top of Twitch with millions watching him daily as he enters “The Arena” to hand out losses on a number of popular battle royale games.

Twitch certainly wouldn’t want to lose another high-profile star like The Doc though, but unfortunately, we’ll likely never know whether The Doc is trolling or if he received a sizable sum to pledge his allegiance to the platform.
