The popular competition series on Netflix, Physical 100 Season 2, is back with fresh faces and a revamped theme, and its official release date has been confirmed.

Putting aside K-drama, Netflix found success in its Korean competition/reality series. One of them was Physical 100, where some of the best athletes, bodybuilders, and more competed for glory. They fought for the title of having the best physique and a cash prize.

The first season, themed around Greek mythology, crowned its winner last year. But Physical 100 teased it wasn’t done looking for the best of the best. Netflix announced a Season 2 would be released in 2024.

Physical 100 Season 2 – Underground now has an official release date and a tease on who will take part in proving their muscles are more than just for show.

When is the release date for Physical 100 Season 2?

Netflix officially announced Physical: 100 Season 2 — Underground will release on March 19, 2024.

Netflix Tudum announced that fans will get the new installment earlier than expected. The first season aired in late January 2023. Like the prior season, 100 contestants will battle it out through a series of physically demanding challenges until only one remains.

The first season focused on Greek mythology with conquests inspired by the Flight of Icarus and more. This time around, Physical 100 Season 2 will take place in the backdrop of an underground mine. Have no fear, as the new season will keep the tradition of a plaster bust of the contestants. When they are eliminated, they destroy them.

But who will take part in the competition? Netflix announced some of the famous athletes will include, “Kim Dong-hyun, the first Korean UFC fighter with the highest number of wins within Korea; Lee Won-hee, a gold medalist in judo; and Anthony Jung, a gold medalist in wrestling.”

That’s not all, as Physical 100 Season 2 will also include actors, singers, police officers, military, and FBI diplomats. It’s clear the new season will be even more dynamic than the first when it comes to its array of contestants from different professional backgrounds.

Netflix didn’t announce if Season 2 will have the same number of episodes and the same amount for the grand prize – we’ll be sure to keep you posted when these details are revealed.
