Main features adjusted or changed

Palico in Monster Hunter
Monster Hunter Now patch v69.0 has brought a lot of changes to the game.

Niantic has released patch notes for the Monster Hunter Now v69.0 update, which can be found in the list outlined below:

Lance

You can now change your attack directions based on the tap position on the screen.

  • Tap the upper part of the screen: Attack diagonally upwards.
  • Tap the lower part of the screen: Attack straight ahead.

Hunt-a-thons

The cooldown time until you can join another Hunt-a-thon is now displayed on the Main Screen.

  • Hunt-a-thon: The cooldown timer for joining another Hunt-a-thon is no longer reset when using a Hunt-a-thon ticket. For example, if there are 30 minutes remaining on the cooldown timer and you use a Hunt-a-thon ticket, the cooldown timer will start at 30 minutes.
  • Hunt-a-thon: After transitioning to the lobby for the second monster and beyond, there is now a brief period where you wait for other hunters. This change is to help prevent accidentally starting the hunt prematurely.
  • In Urgent Quests and Hunt-a-thons, you can now skip the cutscene of the large monster by holding down the screen.

Paintball

Paintball specifications have been changed. Once a marked monster’s hunt begins, if any participating hunter successfully defeats the monster, the hunt will be considered completed. Subsequently, regardless of the number of attempts, further hunting of the monster will not be possible.

If the owner leaves the hunt of a marked monster due to issues such as poor network conditions during the hunt, and any participating member successfully completes the hunt, the hunt cannot be resumed.

Therefore, we strongly recommend playing in areas with stable network coverage, especially during hunts with rare monsters. Please note that issues related to gameplay due to network issues are not covered by support. Thank you for your understanding.

Other

  • The green arrow (Upgradable icon)  on the Equipment screen has been updated to make it easier to distinguish between whether it can be upgradable or not.
  • The icons for Gift sets have been updated.

Fixed issues

  • When you attempt to join a Group Hunt while in a party, the app may become unresponsive, displaying “Now Loading”.
  • Bow: Charge level not resetting
  • We have adjusted it so that after performing charge level specific actions, charge level now returns to level 1.
  • Changes in damage caused by some skills and conditions are not accurately reflected when breaking parts

The following is details of the Known Issues that have already been posted.

The following skills and conditions did not reflect the additional damage inflicted on large monsters in the build-up damage for Partbreaks, making it more difficult for parts to break than expected.

With the fix, Partbreaks are now more likely to occur than before.

  • Additional damage from Critical hits with weapons with positive Affinity
  • Additional damage from Sneak Attack
  • Additional damage from Skyward Striker
  • Additional damage from Special Boost
  • Additional damage to monsters in a Sleep State

The following skills and conditions did not reflect the reduced damage inflicted on large monsters in the build-up damage for Partbreaks, making it easier for parts to break than expected. With the fix, Partbreaks are now less likely to occur than before.

  • Reduced damage from Critical hits with weapons with negative Affinity
  • Reduced damage due to attacks from outside of Critical distance when using Light Bowgun and Bow
