Sons of the Forest is the sequel to the survival horror game The Forest. Staying true to its roots the sequel employs similar survival mechanics where players can make use of the environment to craft various items.
Tech Mesh is one such versatile material used for crafting advanced items such as Tech Armor. This armor provides the wearer with protection and various enhancements, including increased speed and improved perception.
Crafting Tech Armor requires Tech Mesh along with other components like Batteries, Wire, Duct Tape, and Circuit Boards. That being said, here is all you need to know on how to get Tech Mesh and its various uses.
How to craft Tech Mesh in Sons of the Forest
Endnight Games To obtain Tech Mesh in Sons of the Forest, follow these steps:
- To be able to craft Tech Mesh, you need access to a 3D printer which can be found across four different locations on the map. You can refer to the image above to get the accurate location. That being said, the easiest 3D printer location to find is the Entertainment Bunker (marked in red circle).
- Navigate to the western part of the map and follow the GPS Locator’s blinking green icons. Eventually, you will come across a golf cart. The cave leading up to the 3D printer will just be a few steps away from there. You can refer to our guide here for a more accurate breakdown.
- Once you’re in the cave, navigate through the underground room until you reach a laptop.
Use the “R” button to cycle through the available items on the laptop until you find Tech Mesh. - Press the “E” button to start the printing process once Tech Mesh is selected.
How to craft a Tech Armor with Tech Mesh
Endnight Games You can craft a bunch of items with the help of Tech Mesh. One such item is the Tech Armor which is one of the best armor sets in the game. To craft Tech Armor, gather the following materials:
- Tech Mesh x1
- Wire x1
- Circuit Board x1
- Duct Tape x1
- Batteries x1
Once you have collected all the required materials, combine them to craft Tech Armor. Note that you will need a total of 10 pieces of Tech Armor to cover your entire body.
