Rockstar Games have announced that they will be giving away $500,000 on GTA online for each player during the month of April. Here’s what you’ll need to know about adding that cash to your Maze Bank account.

Since its initial release in 2013, Grand Theft Auto V’s online mode has managed to maintain an impressive player base for all these years with servers still bubbling with fans of the title.

Developers Rockstar Games have been continuing to release frequent content and updates to keep the game fresh, as seen with their massively popular Casino update, and they are now giving away some extra cash to help players out.

GTA Online players can be eligible for a free $500k by simply playing the game.

Following GTA Online’s April Fool’s day update, where the Los Santos map was covered in a layer of snow, Rockstar revealed that they would be implementing quite a few changes on April 2.

The developers explained that a cash gift would be available for anyone who plays GTA Online during the month of April, “All month long, we’re awarding a one-time GTA$500K gift to anyone who plays GTA Online.”

They revealed that once a player has joined a lobby on GTA they would be eligible, although it could take a short while before players would have access to their funds, adding, ”This GTA$ will be automatically sent to your Maze Bank account (may take up to seven days to appear).”

Alongside the $500k gift from Rockstar, in their latest GTA Online update, they revealed that players will earn up to 3x the amount of cash during April compared to the normal rate in certain modes.

Arena Modes, Time Trials, and Premium Repo missions all offer players the chance to stack up on cash and RP in GTA Online with new bonuses.

The latest update also allowed players to save a bit of money with some massive discounts on some of the top vehicles in GTA, giving players the opportunity to make use of their new gift right away.

This is not the first time that Rockstar has given players a massive sum of in-game currency for free although it has been previously done following a special occasion such as the game’s anniversary.
