When will Red Dead Redemption 2 release on PC? New details emerge
More clues have been revealed regarding a possible PC release of Rockstar Games’ Red Dead Redemption 2.

Red Dead Redemption 2, the long-awaited prequel to the iconic Red Dead Redemption, was released for console back on October 26, 2018 – over eight years after the first redemption title. Yet, PC players had to watch on in envy as Xbox and PlayStation owners got to lap up the incredible release from Rockstar Games.
Ever since that October release, there have been murmurs of a PC release eventually being used a follow-up – after all, it happened with Grand Theft Auto V. However, in the months that have followed, things have quieted down just a little, leaving PC players wondering if they’d ever get to jump into RDR 2.

Red Dead Redemption 2 brought back a whole host of classic features from the first Redemption game.Rockstar has yet to confirm that a PC version is going to be available, but that doesn’t stop fans holding out hope. In a turn of good fortune, it now appears that their ongoing wait for the game could be over soon – with the title seemingly all but confirmed to have a PC sister version.
Members of the PC Gaming subreddit picked up on a former Rockstar Toronto game physics programmer updating their LinkedIn profile to state that they worked on Red Dead Redemption 2’s PC counterpart before leaving in 2016.
This isn’t the first time a Rockstar programmer has stated that they helped build parts of RDR2 on PC. Shortly after release, a former member of Rockstar Leeds – who also said that they worked on GTA V and LA Noire on PC – had a similar update. While that was ultimately deleted, it was the first mention of the game getting a PC build.
This is now the second occurence of a former Rockstar employee stating that they worked on RDR 2 PCWhen will RDR 2 release on PC?
While it still remains to be seen if Red Dead Redemption 2 will get a PC release any time soon, all signs seemingly point in a positive direction for would be players as the game would have been well into production back in 2016.
Rockstar did opt to port GTA V over to PC in April of 2015, almost two years after the initial console release, and six months after the next-gen re-release for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
With the next generation of consoles seemingly on the horizon, that timeline could be followed again by Rockstar with RDR2 but PC players will probably be hoping that they get to jump into the epic title sooner rather than later.
