Among the various tools and equipment available to players in Sons of the Forest, the sled stands out as a valuable asset for traversing slopes and navigating the terrain with ease, and here’s how you can get it.

Sons of the Forest, the highly anticipated sequel to The Forest, was released in early access one year ago. After a whole year, the game is finally set to leave early access and release v1.0 on February 22, 2024.

Sons of the Forest introduces players to a thrilling survival horror adventure set in a cannibal-infested wilderness. Players have to make use of resources around them to build various items. One such useful item is the Sled and here’s everything you need to know about where to find it and how to use it.

How to find the Sled in Sons of the Forest

Go to the green marker to find the entrance of the cave.

To be able to get the sled in Sons of the Forest, players must use a 3D printer located in a small bunker and this is how you can find it:

Look for the underground bunker on the Western side of the island. You will find the cave leading to the underground bunker behind an old worn-out golf cart.
You can refer to the image above and head to the green marker. Once you’re inside the cave, you’ll discover an underground office containing a 3D printer.
Use the laptop connected to the 3D printer to select the sled icon from the available options. Keep in mind that crafting the sled requires 1000 Printer Resin, which may need to be supplemented if the printer does not have sufficient resin.

How to use the Sled in Sons of the Forest

Just jump and press the left mouse button to start sledding.

Once you have crafted the sled, using it is a straightforward process, and here’s how you can do it:

Access your inventory and equip the sled.
Jump and press the left mouse button to place the sled beneath your character.
Your character will begin sliding down the slope on the sled. This should allow you to move really fast while going downhill without consuming any stamina.
Press the left mouse button again to dismount from the sled once you reach flat ground or wish to stop sliding.
