How to find a cooking pot in Sons of the Forest

As of writing, there are only two locations in the game where you can find the cooking pot.

The western side of the island

The first cooking pot is fairly easy to find as it is placed out in the open, requiring no special conditions to obtain it. The location is situated in the middle of an abandoned camp to the east of the two rivers running vertically down the west side of the island.

The eastern side of the island

The second cooking pot is located inside a bunker. Access to the bunker requires the Guest keycard which makes the process a bit harder. Begin by proceeding along the straight hallway, insert the keycard into the double doors to start the cutscene, and make your way through the dark rooms until you get to the stairs. Take the first door on your right to find the cooking pot sitting on the stove.

How to use the cooking pot

Using the cooking pot in Sons of the Forest.

Once you’ve obtained a cooking pot, follow these steps to use it effectively:

Equip the cooking pot like you would the water flask. Head to a lake or stream and interact with the water source to fill the pot with water.
Ensure you have a reinforced fire set up to cook with the cooking pot.
Approach the fire and press the “E” key to open your inventory. Locate the cooking pot in your inventory and click on it to place it on top of the fire.
Hover your mouse over the cog icon that appears to view the available dishes you can cook. Add the desired ingredients to the cooking pot by interacting with them in your inventory.
