Does Helldivers 2 have vehicles & mechs?

Mechs and vehicles are a highly anticipated addition to Helldivers 2 – but are they in the game yet? Here’s everything you need to know.

Arrowhead Game Studios’ latest release is the follow-up to their beloved top-down title Helldivers. Helldivers 2 brings a fresh third-person perspective for players to immersive themselves in the chaotic gameplay as they take on missions, battle enemies, and keep their gear upgraded to get stronger.

Having the ability to pilot various vehicles and mechs in the original Helldivers was a fan-favorite feature due to the powerful damage they could deal in the game, and you may be wondering if they’re available in Helldivers 2.

So, here’s what you need to know about mechs and vehicles in the game.

Will Helldivers 2 feature mechs and vehicles?

Fans will be thrilled to discover that yes, Mechs are available in Helldivers 2 thanks to the Helldivers liberating Tien Kwan.

During the PlayStation State of Play stream, we were treated to a new Helldivers 2 trailer, which teased the highly anticipated EXO-45 Patriot Exosuit. However, along with the announcement, it was revealed that the feature would be “coming soon after launch.” Now, as of March 8, 2024, we have access to the EXO-45 Patriot Exosuit.

Additionally, footage of a “Warthog” like buggy with a mounted machine gun has leaked online. While these aren’t in the game just yet, there’s a chance players will have to fight for the ability to unlock them just like they’ve had to with Mechs.

That said, not much else is known about these ground vehicles other than that they have a mounted machine gun and that they let players get around much faster than they would on foot.
