Helldivers 2’s first big content update has come in the form of a Mech suit that can be deployed if you’re in need of some extra firepower. With the Railgun being nerfed, many players are in need of some new tools to take down armored enemies.
The Mech suit can provide in that area, but you’ll have to jump through a few hoops if you want to unlock it.
Here’s how players can unlock the EXO-45 Patriot Exosuit Mech.
How to get the EXO-45 Patriot Exosuit Mech
Though this content has been added to the game, not all players will be able to access it. There are some pretty hefty requirements to being able to pilot one of these.
First up, players have to be level 25 to even be eligible to purchase one of these Patriot Exosuits from the Stratagem menu. From there, players will have to fork over 20,000 Requisitions to get the ability to drop one of these.
These will take players a while to unlock, but the suits are well worth it.
And, though each Patriot Exosuit comes equipped with a heavy machine gun and rocket launcher, there are some caveats.
For one, players will only be able to spawn two of these for the entire duration of their mission on a planet. The cooldown on dropping a Patriot Exosuit is also 600 seconds, meaning you’ll have to wait 10 minutes after spawning the first one to get another if it explodes.
Additionally, the Patriot Exosuit may give you some extra armor, but it also makes you a bigger target. Don’t think the power of this Mech suit makes you invincible, bigger enemies will humble you quickly if you let them get too close.
