Fortnite Chapter 2 ‘New World’ challenges leaked for Week 1

David Purcell

Fortnite Battle Royale players will soon be able to grind their way through the first set of challenges in Chapter 2 and they have a really fitting name – the ‘New World’.

If there was something that players of the battle royale game mode were looking for it was a new map and that anticipation only ramped up even further when the Season 10 ending event completely destroyed the map that had been developed since the game first released in September 2017.

Now that a new landscape is available to play on and a whole host of new features have been added, including fresh weapons, never before seen points of interest, and even the ability to go fishing, let’s take a look at what you will need to do to complete the first set of tasks.

Fortnite Chapter 2 is underway and Epic Games have really shuffled the pack.

You don’t have to be a genius, or as smart as Fortnite’s Scientist, to guess what you’re going to have to do for this set of New World challenges, though. Of course, they’re very much based around exploration and seeing things you haven’t seen before in the game mode.

Unlike the start of previous seasons, the entire map has been given a facelift, with named locations and landmarks hidden behind question marks until they have been explored by players. You’re going to have to really look around and vary the places you drop quite regularly to complete them, which should be fun.

So, without further ado, let’s take a look at the entire leaked list – courtesy of data miner Lucas7yoshi.

Fortnite’s New World challenges will be available for Week 1 of Chapter 2, Season 1.

Now that you have seen them all, you will see that it’s not only going to be exploration of different landing spots that will help you complete these challenges, but trying out a number of new features as well – including the fishing rods, carrying players and more.

These challenges are expected to be made available for the first week of Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 1, and offers just one reward that’s not Battle Stars. That reward is a brand new loading screen, as seen below.

This loading screen will be up for grabs.

Once the challenges have gone live in-game, we’ll be the first to let you know. At the time of writing, the information here is unconfirmed, but that won’t stop fans from looking forward to seeing them added to Fortnite.
