Controversial YouTubers Jake Paul and Tana Mongeau have apparently begun a new relationship, following a slew of dating rumors between the two internet stars – but Paul’s mother might not be a fan of their blossoming romance.

Paul uploaded a vlog on May 16, where his mother, Pamela Stepnick, met Tana for the very first time on the set of her upcoming MTV reality show, ‘Tana Turns 21.’

Stepnick didn’t seem to be too impressed with Mongeau before the two had even gotten acquainted, claiming that the only thing she knew about Tana was her disastrous ‘TanaCon’ event while they drove to her residence in Paul’s car.

Jake Paul, InstagramDespite claiming that they were “only friends,” it looks like things have gotten a bit physical between Jake Paul and Tana Mongeau.

Stepnick went on to question Paul about Mongeau, noting that she was young (20 years old) and blonde, with “big hooters.”

The two later met on the set of Tana’s MTV show, where they appeared to have chemistry; however, Stepnick’s final assessment seemed to throw shade at Mongeau’s success, comparing the YouTuber to Logan Paul’s ex-girlfriend, ‘Agents of Shield’ actress Chloe Bennet.

“First of all, we came to her house and she’s doing this MTV reality series,” Stepnick began. “It’s no ‘Agents of Shield’ or anything, but it was really cool.”

Despite the apparent shade, Paul’s mother went on to say that Tana had a “great sense of humor,” calling her “really funny” and “very sweet.”

Tana Mongeau, InstagramJake Paul and Tana Mongeau pranked their audiences by starting a “family channel,” after rumors circulated that the two were romantically involved.

While Jake Paul himself isn’t sure what his relationship status is with Mongeau just yet, the two have gotten closer and closer, after rumors circulated social media that the two YouTubers were involved in a secret romance – not helped by Mongeau’s Snapchat taken in Paul’s bed shortly thereafter.

Not everyone was pleased with their involvement, including Mongeau’s ex-boyfriend, Justin Bieber lookalike Brad Sousa, who even challenged Jake Paul to a fight multiple times following his breakup with Tana.

Sousa himself uploaded a message to Jake Paul directly on May 16, asking the YouTuber to “pull up” in response to Paul’s constant online trolling.

Sousa is expected to appear on Daniel ‘KEEMSTAR’ Keem’s Drama Alert show on May 17, where he will tell his side of the story in regards to his breakup with Mongeau.

Pokimane reveals plans for Twitch VODs after DMCA takedowns

Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys has revealed her plans for her Twitch VODs, after many creators on the platform, including some of the very biggest, were hit with DMCA takedown notifications over content in their back-catalog.

On October 21, some of the most popular names on the platform revealed that they have been getting these DMCA notifications, with people such as Seth ‘Scump’ Abner, Tim ‘TimTheTatman’ Betar, and more finding that clips and VODs from past broadcasts have been deleted.

Obviously, in recent months there have been issues with streamers using copyrighted music on their stream, with many opting to stop so as to avoid any legal issues, but now their past content is being sifted through and checked, and the results are wiping out some of these creators’ favorite moments on stream.

While many streamers are doing all they can to keep their content on their Twitch channel available, Pokimane has revealed her plans for past VODs.

Pokimane has been streaming full-time since 2017, but may have to remove a lot of her content to avoid DMCA takedown requests.

After a viewer told Poki that fellow streamer Saqib ‘Lirik’ Zahid was to delete all of his VODs he’s built up over the years, she suggested that the same might be the case for her own channel.

“Lirik’s going to delete all his VODs? Well, guess what, it’s not just Lirik,” she told her viewers during her October 22 stream.

She continued: “Today, tomorrow, at some point, you guys are going to come across my channel and there’s going to be zero content. Sucks to say, but it is what it is.”

Of course, there will be many top streamers considering that reality right now: that the content they’ve put out over however many years could simply be erased due to the music being played in the background.

Some content creators have already started taking down old VODs and deleting clips, and Pokimane may be just one of many that do so to avoid being banned from the platform altogether. We might see some creators start transferring their content to YouTube, but this would likely require a Herculean effort, too.

At the time of writing, Pokimane’s VODs haven’t been wiped from her channel.
