Popular streamer Kaitlyn ‘Amouranth’ Siragusa has been banned from Twitch after she revealed too much of herself during a live broadcast.

Update, September 12, 07:42 AM EST: Amouranth has now been unbanned from Twitch, indicating her ban length was three-days for the community guideline violation.

Boasting nearly 1.2 million followers on Twitch, Amouranth is one of the most successful streamers on the platform, with most of her content focused around the IRL section, such as eyebrow-raising streams and cosplays.

She’s toed the line with the streaming website’s Terms of Service on a few occasions, but one major slip-up has finally caused the ban hammer to drop.

During a September 8 stream, Amouranth was playing casually with her dog and chatting to her viewers, and all seemed fine until a major wardrobe malfunction struck like lightning.

As she was rolling over, she unknowingly exposed herself multiple times, leading her viewers to flood the chat with messages and warnings.

That moment was captured and turned into a clip, and despite the fact that it was doing massive rounds on Reddit and other social platforms following her stream, it took Twitch admins almost 12 hours to suspend and shut down her account.

Twitch’s Community Guidelines state that sexually explicit and suggestive content is prohibited on the platform, as well as wearing attire that is “intended to be sexually suggestive.”

As is usually the case with these suspensions, no one knows exactly how long they are for, although the usually don’t end up lasting for more than 30 days.

Similar incidents have drawn long-term bans for appearing nude on stream. Twitch partner ‘BadBunny’ was suspended for three days after exposing herself on stream in April, while overnight Korean Twitch streamer ‘Addielyn’ apologised to her fans after starting her stream preemptively while naked.

INSTAGRAM:AMOURANTHAmouranth is a controversial figure on Twitch due to the nature of her streams.

Amouranth had an average viewer count of 2,000 during the month of August, according to stats site TwitchTracker. She also had over a million followers at the time she was banned, and she has a suspected 8,000 subscribers.

Her followership on other sites is large as well. She has just under 800 patreons, who subscribe for her regular and adult cosplays, while her Twitter page has 227,300 followers.

Neither Twitch or Amouranth has released a statement about the incident yet.

That Vegan Teacher responds to TikTok ban for alleged “community violations”

Notorious TikTok vegan That Vegan Teacher has created a video response after being banned on the platform for allegedly violating several community guidelines.

That Vegan Teacher, real name Kadie Karen Diekmeyer, has clocked up around 1.5m followers on the app and is known for her very firm vegan beliefs, which she frequently preaches on the app.

She’s also had several run-ins with other top names — including, notably, Minecraft sensation 16-year-old TommyInnit, whose fans bombarded her with hate comments after she suggested someone help him feel more comfortable around girls.

Now, after rumors that she had been arrested in January 2021 (which was proven false), she seems to have been banned from the app altogether.

Why was That Vegan Teacher banned on TikTok?

At the time of writing, there’s no clear explanation as to why That Vegan Teacher has been banned on TikTok, with neither her nor TikTok coming out with an explanation.

While the reason hasn’t been confirmed, a disclaimer on her TikTok profile suggests it’s due to multiple Community Guidelines violations.

This could be any number of things, so it’s impossible to speculate on what exactly the violations could be, and we’ll have to wait for official confirmation before reporting it. According to TikTok’s guidelines though, her misdemeanor could fall under any of these categories:

  • Violent extremism
  • Hateful behavior
  • Illegal activities and regulated goods
  • Violent and graphic content
  • Suicide, self harm and dangerous acts
  • Harassment and bullying
  • Adult nudity and sexual activities
  • Minor safety
  • Integrity and authenticity
  • Platform security

That Vegan Teacher has in the past had her videos reacted to by top celebrities such as Gordon Ramsay, who didn’t seem her biggest fan, and Russell Brand for her divisive takes.

A short time later, That Vegan Teacher created a video response to the situation, which she uploaded to YouTube with all comments and likes/dislikes turned off.

In her video, the controversial TikToker accused her critics of being “scared” of telling kids “the truth” about veganism, and alleged that her ban was the work of “veganphobic” users. In her video description, she also alleged that her home had been “attacked” by critics, who left “dead animal parts” on her front door and – even purportedly doxed her personal information.

That’s not all; some TikTokers believe that Vegan Teacher may have started using a new TikTok account, although these rumors have yet to be fully verified at the time of writing.

Previously, she has drawn comparisons between animal cruelty and atrocities such as the Holocaust, which is likely a large contributor to why TikTok users would report her and the platform would ultimately kick her off.
