Best TAQ V Warzone 2 loadout: Class setup, attachments, Perks

Ryan Lemay

After a brief hiatus, the TAQ V is back and better than ever in Warzone 2. Here’s our best TAQ-V meta loadout for Warzone 2 including the best attachments, perks, and equipment.

Battle rifles dominate Warzone 2’s long-range meta in Season 5. The TAQ V and Cronen Squall sit comfortably atop the popularity rankings and for good reason.

But its fully automatic firing style combined with the high damage is perfect for a game like Warzone 2, where a fast TTK is essential, especially at medium to long range.

The TAQ-V’s lethal 7.62mm rounds easily tear through squads, but its unstable recoil makes it harder to approach than some other weapons. Fortunately for you, we have the perfect TAQ-V loadout to help carry your squad to victories on Al Mazrah and bolster its kickback.

Attachments

  • Muzzle: Sakin Tread-40 (+0.54, +0.19)
  • Optic: 18″ Precision-6 Barrel (-0.42, +0.35)
  • Underbarrel: FTAC RIpper (+0.52, +0.28)
  • Magazine: 50 Round Drum
  • Ammunition: 7.62 High Velocity (-0.43, -4.94)

Our loadout focuses on mitigating the weapon’s extreme recoil. Starting off with the Sakin Tread-40, which improves horizontal and vertical recoil control. We also recommend using the FTAC Ripper for added Aiming Idle Stability and Recoil Stabilization to keep those shots true.

To further improve damage range and bullet velocity with the TAQ-V, it’s best to use the 18″ Precision-6 Barrel. Partnering this barrel with 7.62 High Velocity ammo maximizes the hard-hitting battle rifle’s time-to-kill speed.

20 bullets per magazine won’t really cut it in a battle royale like Warzone 2, so we recommend bumping that up to a 50-Round Drum. Our loadout does hinder mobility and handling, but increasing the weapon’s accuracy makes it far easier to use at longer range engagements.

Best TAQ-V Warzone 2 class: Perks & equipment

  • Base Perk 1: Double Time
  • Base Perk 2: Bomb Squad
  • Bonus Perk: Resupply
  • Ultimate Perk: High Alert
  • Lethal: Grenade
  • Tactical Equipment: Stun Grenade

Al Mazrah is a very big map, so Double Time makes it easier to traverse freely, improving the duration of your tactical sprint. Nothing is worse than getting bombarded with Lethal grenades while holding down an angle in Warzone 2, but Bomb Squad reduces the damage taken from non-Killstreak explosives.

Resupply will come in handy over the duration of a long Warzone 2 match, as you start with an additional Lethal and equipment recharges over 30 seconds. Finally, High Alert may save your life on one or two occasions, as vision pulses alert you when an enemy spots you.

To round off the setup, we recommend using a Semtex for flushing opponents out of cover, and Flash Grenades for clearing enclosed spaces.

How to unlock the TAQ-V in Warzone 2

In order to get your hands on this powerful Battle Rifle in Warzone 2 you’ll need to level up the TAQ-56 to Level 11.

Best TAQ-V alternatives in Warzone 2

If the TAQ-V recoil is too much to handle, but you still want a powerful fully automatic weapon, look no further than the Cronen Squall.

The dominant battle rifle has a similar damage profile but has a slightly better recoil pattern. Numerous nerfs have not done enough to knock down the weapon from being a top-tier option.

It’s perfect for laser-beaming foes from afar, especially if you kit out the weapon for maximum stability.
