Prominent Twitch streamer Asmongold opened up about his time in OTK after leaving the group, saying his involvement in the org was damaging to his mental health.
Asmongold helped found OTK in October 2020 and was one of its core members, even hosting a podcast for the group called ‘Steak and Eggs’ with fellow streamers Tectone and Emiru.
After four years with the group, he parted ways with OTK in early 2025 following a string of controversies, largely due to his political content.
He confirmed this development in a Twitch stream on February 21, saying that he hadn’t been involved with OTK for some time.

Asmongold admits he “regrets” joining OTK
During that same broadcast, Asmon also opened up about his experience in the org, calling it “one of the biggest mistakes” in his career and that being part of the group was taxing on his mental health.
“I view getting involved with all that stuff as one of the biggest mistakes I’ve ever made in my entire life,” he admitted. “I do regret it, yet I don’t, because I think I needed to go through it to realize it was a mistake.
“The amount of social pressure and obligations it placed on me was massively emotionally corrosive and really negatively affected my mental health. … It got into my mental, and it negatively affected me in a tremendous way.”
Asmongold recalled when he was sent to the emergency room for extremely high blood pressure in August 2024, saying that part of his health condition was undoubtedly due to the stress of being involved with OTK.
“I realized that this level of tension and stress and pressure that’s being put on me by other external forces is something that is literally killing me,” he said.
Moving forward, Asmongold wants to focus on himself and his own content, saying that he has no desire to stop with his political streams whatsoever.
Asmongold is the latest streamer to distance themselves from OTK after Emiru removed all of the org’s branding from her social media profiles the same day Asmon admitted that he’d left the company.
