Adin Ross accuses Pokimane of being fake and trying to “cancel people”

Adin Ross has claimed that Pokimane is not a genuine creator, and that she is always trying to call people out to get them “cancelled.”

On April 15, Adin Ross was featured on Sean O’Malley’s podcast while they were both in Las Vegas to attend the UFC 300 event. Adin sat down with the UFC champ, who is an avid gamer and streamer himself, to discuss various topics about his life as one of the biggest streamers.

During the episode of TheTimboSugarShow, host Ricky Schmitt praised the top Kick streamer for being a genuine person compared to other internet personalities.

Adin responded, putting Pokimane on blast: “It’s fun being genuine, being yourself, because you don’t have to worry about being someone else you’re not, and it always catches up to you. Just like Pokimane. I’ll bring it up and I’ll tell you why. She’s always been the one to point fingers, cancel people, say get them out of here.”

He further explained: “She tried selling cookies for like, $20 or something like that, and she basically was saying ‘you guys got to buy my cookies’ and trying to sell the cookies, and it’s like $20 for regular f**king chocolate chip cookies. So it’s like, whatever bro, be yourself.”

Pokimane famously came under fire in late 2023 after releasing her Myna Snacks line of Midnight Mini Cookies, small, bite-sized chocolate cookies infused with Vitamin D. The cookies sparked backlash over their price, costing $28, $56, and $84 for packs of 4, 8, or 12 individual bags.

After being made aware of the outrage, Pokimane hit back at her critics, saying to one viewer: “If you’re a broke boy, just say so.” Although the streamer later apologized for her comments and even poked fun at the incident in a Black Friday sale, it would appear the ordeal is still fresh in Adin Ross’s mind.

On top of that, Pokimane has made her thoughts on Ross’s platform of choice, Kick, quite clear over the years. After revealing her exit from Twitch earlier this year, Pokimane admitted that she wouldn’t switch to Kick due to its involvement with Stake, an online gambling platform.

“Me, personally, I would not stream on Kick, because I know that that company as a whole is funded by online crypto gambling websites that are not legal in a lot of countries that, in my opinion are kind of shady, and I personally don’t want to stream somewhere and bring my audience somewhere where they could then potentially be funneled into an addiction,” she said in a podcast episode.

Her thoughts on the platform have caused quite a stir for some time. In fact, she and xQc butted heads after Poki said she wouldn’t take a Kick deal as it would compromise her “morals and ethics” after xQc signed a $100M deal with the platform.

That’s not all; fellow streamer Corinna Kopf even called Pokimane “self-righteous” for her comments on Kick in a spat that drew eyes all over the net.

Adin Ross had previously stated that he’s cool with Pokimane as she never directly “said some s**t” to him. However, ever since Pokimane’s cookie controversy, they have never seen eye to eye.
